Black Sapphire Cookie is a minor antagonist in Cookie Run: Kingdom, He is seen the secondary antagonist of Beast-Yeast Episode 8: Beacon of Truth, he is a servant of Shadow Milk Cookie, this Cookie's suave, refined radio host persona contrasts his passion for broadcasting slander on the Cookies of Earthbread, all for the fun of watching chaos ensue.
He is voiced by Jang Min-hyeok in Korean, Maeda Seiji in Japanese, Lai Wei in Taiwanese Mandarin, Nathat Phutphong in Thai and Barrett Leddy in English
Appearance[]
Black Sapphire Cookie is a lanky cookie; he is compact with rounded shapes, and wields a confident posture. His body color is a cool grayish-purple and his face has a confident expression with gleaming sharp teeth. One of his eyes is completely hidden beneath the bangs of his fluffy, short hair, which falls over most of his face in violet-rimmed obsidian waves. His other eye is partially visible, being deep black and sly with a pointed slit pupil in lavender.
His appearance seems to draw inspiration from the Victorian and Edwardian eras, in the way his suit is designed. The wings mimicking a tailcoat, paired with a white cravat, gold embroidery, and gemstone embellishments. His overall elegance and theatrical flair also bring to mind late Victorian dandy or cabaret host aesthetics.
Personality[]
He is very confident and full of himself, having earned his Master, Shadow Milk Cookie's recognition for his skill to twist words amongst Cookies in his theatrical manner. With his power drawing directly from his master's influence. Behind the scenes, he can be blunt about his true thoughts, upsetting Candy Apple Cookie with his nonchalance to her antics or boasting about the grandeur of the Spire of Deceit above mere kingdoms.
Black Sapphire Cookie delights spreading rumors around Earthbread, creating malicious lies that catches onto the interests of the public's at the expense of their subjects. He easily takes up the role of anonymous rumormonger, never rousing suspicion himself as he goads others in sharing the most enticing of slanders amongst themselves.
Trivia[]
- According to his loading screen trivia, he claims to have practically raised Candy Apple Cookie. This statement has not been confirmed if it's true nor opposing evidence if it's false. Regardless of which however, she doesn't seem to believe him.
- Black Sapphire Cookie's microphone looking staff, although a tool, has sentience and acts as a loyal familiar to him. His microphone has a different form on whether it is sentient. This form appears in his angry sprite, one of his Overworld animations, three of his Boss animations, his skill and skill icon. The head and the microphone can be separate as referenced in his Overworld walking animation and sitting animation as well as his Boss animations
- He has a crew of staffs which looks like a purple diamond with bat wings. Three of the staffs can be seen in his idle animation.
