Blackmar is an antagonist in Dragon Quest VI.

Biography

Blackmar is the owner of a prison called Gallows Moor in the world of Mortamor. Although Blackmar called Gallows Moor a "village". He seems to execute people from little to no reason at all. When the hero's party reached Gallows Moor, Blackmar's minions, Dogmas and Zozagel will capture them and sent the party to prison. The prisoners than performed a prison break by getting Dogmas and other guards drunk. Blackmar didn't drink though, since he is getting ready to marry a nun by having one of his minion possess her. After killing Zozagel, the party arrived to stop Blackmar, who intended to kill the party himself, however, Blackmar was defeated and destroyed for good in the end, thus freeing the prisoners. Sadly for the prisoners, their celebration is short-lived as a furious Mortamor cursed them by turning them into either stone or animals.

Appearance

Blackmar is a bulky, mustard yellow demon that resembles a bulldog.

Personality

Blackmar is a very cruel member of Mortamor's army. He seems to care about no one but himself. He is also shown to be very arrogant and even find joy in executing prisoners.
