Blade is a major antagonist of the 2017 Japanese dark fantasy light novel series Redo of Healer, as well as its manga and anime adaptations of the same name.
She was voiced by Mami Fujita in the anime adaptation.
Biography[]
Blade is the Sword Hero affiliated with Jioral Kingdom and is a member of led by Princess Flare Arlgrande Jioral, the Mage Hero, whom she took a great attraction to. The party also includes the Cannon Hero, Bullet, and the series' main protagonist, Keyarga. All three of them took part in the torturing and abuse of Keyarga, when he first joined. Blade hated him for being a man and for how sexually involved she was with Flare, albeit involuntary so. One night, she tried to make out with a semi-conscious Keyaru to "taste" Princess Flare after those two were alone together, which only ended with her being disgusted and throwing up. She proceeded to beat him without remorse that night, frustrated at the thought of kissing a man had actually turned her on.
While adventuring with Princess Norn Clatalissa Jioral, Blade was lured into a trap and has been captured by Keara (Keyaruga in disguise). Keyaruga eats steak, while blade was being eaten alive by a pack of cannibals.
Personality[]
Blade's most defining trait is her hatred for men, although it's unknown where it originated from. Blade is also very prone to anger, as she lashes out violently even by the most minor of inconveniences. This is most evident with her treatment of Keyaru, seeing him as an obstacle between her and Flare through Blade's very own jealousy and hatred toward him. She is identified as a homosexual and is constantly seeking sexual gratification from women, especially with the princess in her party. Blade will do this even without their consent, as she has no qualms coercing them with drugs and even kidnapping and raping them to satisfy herself. Blade is very entitled, thinking it's her "god-given right" to kidnap or rape any woman she wants. Another distasteful aspect of hers is that she is a blatant hypocrite, as she hates men for being vile, disgusting, and perverted, yet does not realize that she herself is like that. She is even disgusted when one of her victims turns out to be a cross-dressing man, even when Blade has also done cross-dressing to attract women. Blade is also not much of a strategist, as her only tactics are charging in and slashing her enemies relentlessly. This can still make her dangerous coupled with her anger issues, although it makes her a rather predictable opponent. Overall, the Sword Hero is an entitled, self-centered, aggressive sexual predator that will do anything to get what she wants. At the end of her life after she realized her wrondoings and learned what she has done to Keyarga in the previous world, she is shown to be a coward when she tried to plead with the "Healer Hero" for mercy and forgiveness while also trying to please three rabid men in efforts to save herself before getting eaten by said men.
