Biography[]
Past[]
He hails from Chicago and his parents are both deceased, and he had one cousin. He worked a good job and was considered a pleasant man by his neighbors. He was also a member of an Athletic membership club.
Behind this modest life was a dark secret, Blake was a sexual predator who targeted the women at the gym and kept up a spree for a decade and avoiding detection. He soon began stalking them to their home, where he stole small trinkets and kept them in a closet at his home as trophies to relive the memory. It is implied he was responsible for the rape of at least one woman who reported that her assailant wore a mask and that he reeked of her perfume, but no arrest was made.
He soon took an interest in Lisa Miller, a member of the gym and began stalking her for weeks. At one point, he even followed her while she was driving her car and waved at her daughter, who innocently waved back. He started breaking in the Miller's home and stole some minor things, that were assumed to have gone missing by the family.
Still Water[]
Eventually, he acted on his urges and waited for Lisa at her job, before he blitzed her from behind and raped her. He then forced her into the car, where she struggled to get away but he drove off with her. Lisa's continued struggled caused Blake to drive erratically on the road. Soon Blake lost control and the car went over the pier. Det. Upton was on a jog and noticed this scene, before diving into the water to save the occupants, saving an unconscious Blake. As she was getting them out, Lisa grabbed her arm and begged to be save, as Upton (unaware of what transpired) gestured that she would be back for her. The CFD arrived and pulled the car out of the water, with both Blake and Lisa being taken to the hospital.
At the hospital, Blake was resuscitated and quickly fled after his head was bandaged. He was well aware the CPD would question him on the events especially after Lisa died from drowning. He withdrew money and contacted a friend for a new identity to flee the city.
The CPD Intelligence Unit did in fact investigate the case and discovered his identity. The Miller family were distraught by their loss and were horrified to discover that Blake had been in their home multiple times, while Lisa's daughter had previously seen him following them. After searching Blake's home, they discover his trophies and pattern of attack. They also learn of his associates who could likely help escape the city.
However, Upton deduced Blake was too obsessed with the gym women that he wouldn't be able to leave them behind. Intelligence sought to use this as an opening to draw him in. Initially, he seemingly didn't show but he walked up with supplies, before being spotted by Upton who recognized him and told him to stop. Realizing the cops were onto him, Blake fled the scene and was pursued by the cops. He then ran into the gym, where he attacked Upton and tried to grab her gun in the struggle. She yelled at him that she previously saved his life, causing him to hesitate before she strikes him and he hits head on the diving board and falls in the pool. Upton was left pondering to save him or let him drown for his crimes until deciding to once again save him. She dives after him and resuscitates the unconscious man, before Det. Halstead and helps her by putting Blake in cuffs. Blake is then hauled off to answer for his crimes.
The Miller family were told that with all the evidence against him for multiple rapes, burglaries, and murder that he'd likely die in prison, bringing them closure.
