~ Blarg |
The Blarg is the main antagonist of the episode of The Backyardigans, The Big Dipper Diner.
He was voiced by Oliver Wyman, who also voiced Pie in Tokyo Mew Mew, Burton Plushtoy III in Kenny the Shark, Zigfried von Schroeder in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, and Chief Pachacamac in Sonic Adventure.
Biography[]
The Blarg is first seen on the screen in officers Tyrone and Tasha's police car. They see him shrink a satellite and flee, and chase after him. They end up at the Big Dipper Diner, where Chef Pablo and Waitress Uniqua are serving a friendly alien named Hugs, who looks identical to the Blarg, except with a yellow suit and purple pants. When the officers describe the Blarg, Pablo and Uniqua think they're after Hugs, and try to hide her. They are temporarily successful, but both aliens begin to run around the diner, with both pairs chasing after the wrong one. The distinction is made when the Blarg starts to shrink stuff, including Officer Tasha. Both aliens run out into space, with the Blarg shrinking lots of things. When all six of them run into each other, Hugs scolds the Blarg and tells him to fix everything he broke, which he reluctantly does.
