Blarrg!
~ Blarg's roar and his namesake

"Blarg" or "Kerzueal" is the main antagonist of the first installment of The Last Kids on Earth. He is a monster sent from Rezzoch's Dimension and he was one of his most powerful servants (alongside Thrull). Blarg is supposed to be a vengeful and "pure-evil" individual that was supposed to inflict harm onto Humans on Earth, allowing Rezzoch's plan of World Domination to commence. However, during his reign he was fixated on killing Jack Sullivan after they met. This obsession was the reason for his demise as Blarg was eventually killed by Jack and his "post-apocalyptic family". He was later revived multiple times before being put down for good.

In the TV series, he is voiced by Brian Drummond, who also played Vegeta in Dragon Ball Z, Ryuk in Death Note (2017), Doctor Eggman in Sonic Prime, Venom (alongside his human partner, Eddie Brock) in Spiderman Unlimited and Ziard in The Dragon Prince.

Appearance[]

TBA

Personality[]

I've encountered other freaky beasts over the last forty-two days, but none like this. None that examined me: looking me over, smelling me, studying me. None that felt this terrifyingly smart. I have a sick feeling in my gut---a sense---something that tells me this beast here is 100% pure, beyond beyond EVIL.
~ Blarg's research from Jack.

Based on Jack's research, Blarg is a heartless, ruthless and selfish monster that didn't hold any grief for what he had done to other around him. This was shown as he was willing to hurt children, animals and destroy multiple properties, and never thought for a second of what he was doing. Throughout his reign, Blarg was extremely obsessed with killing Jack, due to recognizing his potential to beat Rezzoch or due to Jack calling him ugly in their first encounter. This vengeful persona continued to increase as Jack continued to hurt him, right until their penultimate fight. After Blarg's defeat, he laid on the ground and accepted his fate instead of fighting, knowing that he can't win, showing that his stubbornness can wear off in some situations.

A notable thing about Blarg's personality is that Blarg is much smarter than most monsters, and was able to study Jack's strengths and use them against him.

History[]

Past[]

About 42 days before the series' beginning, Blarg was created by Rezzoch as her third-in-command in the monster's original world, he was assigned to kill all the humans on Earth so Rezzoch could enter and take over. He was more powerful than the other monsters so he played as a new "king" of Earth. Sometime later, Blarg found a human named Jack Sullivan, who called him ugly, so he constantly chased him, and Jack survived every time.

Book 1[]

In one of their confrontations, Jack decided to actually fight the monster instead of running, hearing his roar and giving him the name "Blarg". Once Blarg ultimately caught Jack, he was stabbed in the eyes by Jack's bat, unintentionally releasing Jack due to the pain from the stabbing. Blarg would appear multiple times as Jack made connections with June, Rover, Dirk and Quint, causing chaos with the group barely surviving the situations due to Rover and Big Mama. In the penultimate confrontation at Jack's treehouse, Blarg was attacked by an onslaught made by the family before he was finally brought down by Jack's bat stabbing him in the face. After realizing he couldn't win, Blarg closed his eyes and accepted his fate, dying without any fighting more. During the aftermath, Blarg's body was destroyed or moved offscreen.

Book 2[]

Blarg never appeared in this book but he was mentioned many times by Jack and the Pizzeria Monsters because Jack was commemorated as Blarg's killer. Thrull also revealed that Blarg's name was actually Kerzeual.
