~ Blast Man |
Blast Man is one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 11. He has a penchant for explosives, a recurring theme among the other bomb-wielding Robot Masters that predate before him. Blast Man also has a taste for the theatrics. He is voiced by Chris Hackney in the English version of Mega Man 11.
Biography
Blast Man was first seen in the game's opening cutscene where he is getting his annual maintenance alongside the other seven Robot Masters. However, he was shortly kidnapped by Dr. Wily who barged inside Dr. Light's lab. After the incident, Blast Man was reprogrammed by the evil doctor. He fought Mega Man twice (the first time in his stage and the second time in Dr. Wily's Gear Fortress) but was defeated.
At the end, Blast Man was reprogrammed back to his original and kind-hearted self. He took a group photo with Mega Man, Roll, Dr. Light, Beat, Rush, Auto, Eddie, and the other seven Robot Masters.
Battle
Blast Man's fight can be a bit hard, but doable. In battle, Blast Man would hop around the room while tossing bombs at the player. If his health reaches below half, Blast Man will activate his Power Gear and toss bigger (but stronger) bombs. His weakness is the Blazing Torch (Torch Man's weapon).
Appearance
Originally a theme park robot manufactured by the B.B. Bomb Company to create pyrotechnic effects with his bombs, Blast Man was kidnapped and reprogrammed by Dr. Wily to use his explosive expertise for nefarious purposes (defeating Mega Man). He is able to generate bomb explosions of various intensities, from the smallest bursts to the largest bangs.
Personality
Blast Man is described to be a mad bomber, using his own explosions for fun. He is also egotisical, putting his name and image all over his stage.
