The Bliblies are the main antagonists of the Smiling Friends pilot episode, "Desmond's Big Day Out." They are small creatures who infest the Smiling Friends building. While they appear harmless, they are actually highly dangerous and malicious.
Characteristics[]
Bliblies are small, humanoid beings about the size of a mouse. They have bright purple skin and communicate via high-pitched gibberish. They are considered pests and reside within building walls. Their nest resembles a large scrotum. When threatened, the Bliblies will burst from the nest in a giant wave, overwhelming anyone unlucky enough to get caught in their path.
Bliblies appear to be kleptomaniac in nature. They regularly steal food from fridges, such as Allan's prized piece of cheese, and have also been known to take other things such as paperclips. While it is easy to write them off as harmless due to their small size, Bliblies are actually extremely dangerous in large numbers, and are capable of easily taking down an adult-sized person. They are extremely violent and sadistic, torturing Allan by crucifying him and stabbing each other for fun. The fact that they managed to construct a full-sized cross indicates that they are at least somewhat intelligent.
History[]
As Allan searches for his missing piece of cheese, he also notices a paper clip has gone missing. Upon hearing a small scream from a trap he set, he follows a trail of blood into a hole in the wall. Searching for what he believes to be a mouse, he finds a Bliblie cowering in a corner holding his cheese. Allan attempts to calm the creature down, but when he reaches out to get his cheese, he is stabbed in the finger with the paper clip. The Bliblie runs off with the cheese, and Allan chases it back to its nest, where the entire colony bursts out and overwhelms him.
By the time Charlie, Pim, and Desmond return to the Smiling Friends headquarters, the Bliblies have completely taken over, and have nailed Allan to a giant cross. The Bliblie who stole his cheese charges at the three, but Desmond shoots it dead with his revolver. Finding that killing the annoying pest felt good, Desmond is cured of his depression and starts an extermination business called "Desmond's Bliblie Control", where he would kill off Bliblies infestations for people.
