Blitzen is the secondary antagonist of The Loud House creator Chris Savino's novel COAL a Cautionary Christmas Tale.
Biography[]
At the beginning of the book, Charlie Peter draws on all of the picture of Santa Claus and his reindeers that his sister, Emily, drew. He made them from nice to horrible, Blitzen, in particular, being made into a centaur creature. This made Emily very upset, saying he'll get coal in his stocking.
After the elves take Charlie to Santa's coal mine, Blitzen arrives and introduces himself, he looked just like the picture Charlie drew. Charlie tries to say bringing him was a mistake by saying his name was Chester McScrooge, but Blitzen simply writes his name on the Naughty List and takes him away. He puts him with Rose, Henry and Zach and eventually calls everyone to dinner. The next time Blitzen is seen, he takes Henry to the Permanent Naughty List for something Charlie did. Afterwards he arrives when rocks almost crush Rose, who became very angry upon learning that Charlie faked his name. Charlie argued about the condition of the place, but Blitzen dismissed him telling him just be more careful until he's on the nice list. In desperation, Charlie snuck into his office to try and put "Chester McScrooge" on the Nice List, but Blitzen catches him at the last minute. He takes him to Santa, in the form of Krampus, who offered him on the Nice List by having him trade places with someone else. Charlie agreed, but it turned out Emily would take his place. To make matters worse, Blitzen gave double time to the other children making them hate Charlie even more.
Charlie managed to escape and fully have a change of heart after reading Emily's note to Santa. He convinces all the kids to help him fight Blitzen and everyone else. After managing to save his sister, the kids fight off everyone. Though everyone has been caught, Charlie reveals that he put everyone's name on the Nice List and only his on the Permanent Naughty List, feeling that he's the only one who truly deserved it. Seeing that he's learned his lesson, Blitzen and everyone else, even the children, change to much nicer forms. This is because Charlie on saw them in his mind and not in his heart. The next thing Charlie knew, he was back home in his bed. Blitzen is not seen for the rest of the book.
