Blodeuwedd is a major antagonist in A Certain Magical Index: Genesis Testament, serving as one of the secondary antagonists of the New Year's Arc.
She is a narcissistic Transcendent of the Bridge Builders Cabal who desires to have all the 'love' in the world to herself. She is the archenemy and counterpart of the Bologna Succubus.
Appearance[]
Blodeuwedd appears as a skinny 12 year old girl who has pale skin and long blonde hair done in twintails and double chignons with a ring of keys around the right one. She wears nothing but a frilly pink apron underneath a large explosive-proof coat, made from thick copper armor plates which are attached to a sturdy cloth, with sleeves that are actually remote-controlled arms. The coat is locked with thick green heart-shaped locks and contains an internal terrarium filled with colorful flowers.
Personality[]
Blodeuwedd is an extremely selfish and amoral narcissist who prioritizes herself above everything else. She behaves cheery and playful, but is actually rather condescending and self-centered. Blodeuwedd's salvation conditions are to save the lonely and unloved, however, the Bologna Succubus states that while she revels in receiving 'love' from others, she isn't willing to give any 'love' herself. She also describes her as a rabid beast who wishes to obtain all the love in the entire world and gives out "false love" to other people.
Biography[]
Blodeuwedd's past prior to joining the Bridge Builders Cabal isn't known, but given her personality and salvation conditions, it likely involved a need for or a lack of love towards herself or others.
Abilities[]
- Transcedent Magic: As a Transcendent of the Bridge Builders Cabal, Blodeuwedd is an immensely powerful magician who is capable of rivaling the entire normal magic side by herself.
- Risk 4: Like her fellow Transcendents, Blodeuwedd can draw on great power that transcends that of normal humans by releasing her seal with an incantation involving the declaration of "Risk 4" and "departing human territory". The number of her seal and the form of her power has not been displayed as of yet.
- Total Courtship: Blodeuwedd's main magic which allows her to unleash the lights, scents and pheromones from its internal terraium, the strength of the scent and pheromones increases the closer to Blodeuwedd one is, making it nearly a deadly poison. Blodeuwedd is capable of manipulating hundreds of thousands of creatures including weaponizing pests, vermin and other hated species, their strength is very destructive and mass potentially break an iron bridge, they can also devour flesh.
