The Bloodbath Diablos is a major antagonist of the 2017 action-adventure game Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. A Deviant individual of the Diablos species, the Bloodbath Diablos lost one of its horns in its youth to a hunter, causing it to develop a deep-seated resentment towards humans. As such, it has been reported throughout history to destroy any humans it sees, making a top priority for hunters to take down.
Physiology[]
Like the other members of its species, the Bloodbath Diablos is a massive, muscular Flying Wyvern, with a head that's frilled like a ceratopsian's, possessing two huge, curved horns above its tiny crimson eyes. It also possesses two long tusks on the sides of its upper jaw and another pair at the front of its lower one. The Bloodbath Diablos's tail ends in two studded lobes which function like a club.
However, it also possesses several traits that distinguish it from regular Diablos: notably, its left horn, which was broken off in its youth, has regrown into a tangled mess of multiple spikes. In addition, its body is covered in reddish veins while its body is stained bluish-black from the blood of its enemies.
Powers and Abilities[]
As a Deviant, the Bloodbath Diablos is unnaturally strong, even when compared to its infamously powerful kin, causing some researchers to crown it as the strongest Deviant. It possesses enough strength to fell entire armies, with its tough hide being so durable that it's come out of almost all attempts to kill it unharmed. Despite its large size, the Bloodbath Diablos is scarily agile and fast, being able to perform quick sidesteps and turns to bulldoze foes.
Like other Diablos, it can emit an ear-piercing roar that stuns all hunters nearby it, and can burrow with shocking speed to surprise and toss foes. When enraged, the Bloodbath Diablos's body temperature will become incredibly hot, causing its secreted body fluids to boil and steam. This causes it to generate steam explosions which can knock hunters off their feet. Additionally, despite its small wings, the Bloodbath Diablos has surprising aerial agility and can assault hunters with a flying corkscrew dive.
Behavior[]
As a result of getting its horn destroyed in the past, the Bloodbath Diablos shows an almost misanthropic aggression towards humans, attacking with unparalleled fury as it tramples and gores foes. Indeed, tales of it have recorded the Bloodbath Diablos destroying entire armies and desert kingdoms, leaving nothing but sandy rubble in its wake. It has been noted to be rather intelligent, utilising its stunning roar to freeze hunters in place before bulldozing them, ensuring a clean shot at its foes. Like regular Diablos, the Bloodbath Diablos is incredibly protective of its territory and will viciously attack any intruder that threatens it and its cacti patch.
Habitat[]
While it mostly sticks to the Desert and Dunes like a regular Diablos, the Bloodbath Diablos has been sighted on Ingle Isle, the home of many powerful monsters.

- Alongside Valstrax, the Bloodbath Diablos is one of the mascots of Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate and a member of the Unrivalled Two. Additionally, it is considered the de-facto leader of the Deviants.
