Bloodclub: You summoned me, my King?
Tarnum: Yes. You murdered innocents. They were unarmed, I hear, and you killed them all.
Bloodclub: They were hiding a Wizard. They were enemies. Besides, a Wizard needs no weapons to kill!
Tarnum: Just don't do it again. You're dismissed.
~ Tarnum and Bloodclub about the latter's deeds.

Bloodclub is a minor antagonist from Heroes Chronicles: Warlords of the Wasteland. He was a bloodthirsty and cruel ogre, and one of the captains in Tarnum's army.

Biography[]

Bloodclub was an ogre who, even compared to the others, was very bloodthirsty, violent and loved to kill or destroy. He took part in a rebellion against the wizards of the Bracaduun Empire, led by a Barbarian warrior named Tarnum. After Tarnum's friend Hardac's son, Tordac died in an ambush, during the siege of Wallpeaks, the rebel leader wanted to appoint a new captain in his place. Reluctantly, he chose Bloodclub as he was a brave, feared and strong fighter. He believed that chaos and cruelty would be the best weapons against the enemy. However, sixteen days after his appointment, Hardac visited Tarnum because he had problems with the new captain and his methods. He said that Bloodclub stole sheep and pigs from several villages, but a wizard was also hiding in one village. Then the ogre went berserk and with his warriors killed everyone in the village where the wizard was, even the children, then completely burned all the buildings and left the bodies in the smoking mess. Tarnum nodded as he understood his friend's anger and concern, however he believed the ogre had committed cruelty towards the enemy, which was a natural occurrence in war. Still, he tried to reassure his friend that he would take care of this matter. Five days later, Tarnum spoke to Bloodclub, who, not understanding his leader's problem, said with a frown that wizards were their enemies and they didn't need weapons to kill. Tarnum nodded as there was truth in the ogre's words, but ordered him not to do that again. The next day he slapped the ogre's wrist as punishment, but Hardac said it was an extremely small punishment for what he had done, while Tarnum believed that his friend would calm down in time. A week later, Bloodclub set out to hunt boar, but his mission, like Hardac's, was scouting. However, when Hardac returned to Tarnum, the rebel leader noticed that he was limping. He reassured Tarnum that his horse frightened by a snake and the animal had thrown him off him and his knee injured. Five days later, a scout arrived at the camp, but Tarnum was surprised that Bloodclub had been gone for several days. The scout said that the ogre had wandered away from the group to hunt a boar, but after he hadn't returned to them for some time, they thought the animal had caught him and they returned to camp. Tarnum looked at Hardac and then shook his head, beginning to suspect what had happened, but wanting to find the ogre. Six days later, a group of rebels found Bloodclub's body and brought it to Tarnum, who examined it. There were too many wounds on the body, which made it impossible for him to have been killed by a wild boar, and it also couldn't have been an assassination, someone killed the ogre in a duel. One of the many wounds was fatal, this probalbly killed the monster, then Tarnum looked at Hardac and his captains, but he suspected who was the perpetrator and probably the reason, since many did not like him and his actions.

Personality[]

Although not the brightest of your captains, Bloodclub is a frightening presence on the battlefield. Now is the time for rage and mayhem.
~ Tarnum's thoughts before appointing Bloodclub as his captain.

Bloodclub was a violent, bloodthirsty, cruel ogre who went berserk easily and loved to kill and destroy. He was loyal to Tarnum, but at the same time he believed that in war it was necessary to be cruel to the enemy, but in fact for him the total destruction was the only thing that mattered.
