Blowpipe is a minor antagonist in Generation One of the Transformers franchise. He was voiced by John Moschitta, who also voiced one of the Gnome Fairies in Adventure Time.
Biography[]
Cartoon[]
Blowpipe appeared in the closing three-part miniseries "The Rebirth", as one of the members of the Hive, totalitarian rulers of the planet Nebulos. When Lord Zarak made a deal with a group of Decepticons led by Cyclonus to combat the alliance between the Autobots and the Nebulan resistance, Blowpipe underwent a binary bonding process to become the weapon of Triggerhappy. He vowed to blow away their enemies, a vow that Triggerhappy endorsed by firing him wildly. During their first encounter with their enemies, Blowpipe was one of the members of the Hive who piled on Brainstorm to retrieve the Key to the Plasma Energy Chamber. The Key changed hands a number of times before the Decepticons and the Hive returned to Cybertron to deliver it to Galvatron. Blowpipe evacuated Cybertron with the rest of the Hive aboard Scorponok.
Comics[]
Blowpipe's only proper appearance was during the Headmasters miniseries, where he was among a group of Nebulans selected by Vorath to undergo the Targetmaster process and be partnered with Decepticons. The new Decepticon Targetmasters saw action for the first time when they attempted to stop the escaping Autobot Headmasters. Both groups departed for Earth soon afterwards.
