Blue Knees is the secondary antagonist of the 2022 horror game Madison. It is a demon that attached itself to a children's book that ended up in the possession of John Maxwell. It then proceeded to torment John's mother, Elisabeth, making her eyesight worse over a short period of time, walking aroud the house when she was alone and eventually, killing her.
40 years later it stalked and tormented Elisabeth's grandson, Luca when he stumbled onto the book.
Biography[]
Background[]
It is unknown when Blue Knees came into existence, but it can be assumed it is very old, this entity apperently lost its eyes and began crawling around to find them, giving him bruised knees, hence Blue Knees. Eventually the entity latched itself to a children's book that wound up in garage sale and was bought in 1972 by the Maxwell family for their son, John. After buying the book, John's mother, Elisabeth, began having trouble sleeping as she felt someone watching her. Eventually, John would complain to his parents that the book gave him nightmares, prompting Elisabeth to read it as well. The thought of Blue Knees started to scare her too.
After some time, Elisabeth's eyesight began to diminish as she lost 40 % of her eyesight in barely two month, she went to see multiple doctors who all assumed it was a severe form of cataract. For John, the nightmares became so bad that he had to sleep with his parents, however it was worse for Elisabeth who often found her belongings scattered on the floor when she was alone at home, and heard something else in the house with her. Eventually, her eyesight became so bad that she was almost blind and Elisabeth and her husband Albert started arguing because he didn't believe her and thought she was paranoid. Shortly after, Elisabeth died, probably beeing killed by Blue Knees and Albert began blaming himself for her death. He then realised his late wife was right about the book and tried to destroy it with fire, unsuccesfully. So, he resorted to lock it away in a cage and spent the rest of his life trying, and failing, to contact his deceased wife.
Madison[]
In 2022, Albert and Elisabeth's grandson, Luca, was tormented by a demonic spirit and searched his father's childhood bedroom in an attempt to escape her influence. Unfortunately for him, he found the Blue Knees book and read it, in it he learns that Blue Knees is looking for his eyes and is scared of lights. When Luca exited the room, the house's layout had changed and he spotted Blue Knees spying on him before disapearing. To get rid of Blue Knees, Luca has to find the eyes by playing the Blue Knees song on gramophones and throw the eyes into a hole. In the process, he is attacked by Blue Knees whom he flashes with a camera to scare off. Once the eyes are thrown down the hole, Blue Knees attacks Luca before presumably jumping down the hole.
Appearance[]
Blue Knees is a tall and skinny, grey humanoid creature with a long pointy nose and bloody and empty eye-sockets. It has sharp teeth and blood aroud its lips along with bruised and bloddy knees.
