Bo Chow is a supporting character in the 2025 period action horror film Sinners.
He is a Chinese American shopkeeper who is a long-time friend of Smoke and Stack and the husband of Grace Chow and father of Lisa. He was also the bartender of the juke joint until he got bitten by vampires led by Remmick.
He was portrayed by Yao.
Biography[]
Bo is a shopkeeper happily married to his wife, Grace Chow, who became co-owners of two shops. They were also friends with the Moore twins. At one point, they gave birth to a daughter named Lisa. Smoke visits them one day to supply them food and drinks for the juke joint till Smoke exits for a while and shoots two thieves in the leg and is ordered to pay to tend their injuries.
That night at the juke joint, he and his wife, and his friends, celebrate and enjoy the party giving them food and drinks. That is until the twins decide to officially end the party and the patrons pack up for the night, except for the twins and their friends. Bo goes out to his car and is unfortunately killed and reborn a vampire off-screen, as well as the patrons who left.
He reappears outside and tells Grace to go home to his daughter while Cornbread is mauling a patron. Grace and his friends notice how he's very calm about the situation next to him, and are very confused and shocked, that is until he leans to the door, his eyes now different, revealing he has been turned.
Remmick reappears alongside him to "join his community" to let them in, however, they refuse, and he threatens to visit Lisa, meaning that they'll turn her. Angered, Bo, Remmick, Stack, Mary, and the vampires prepare to attack the juke joint before dawn. They charge, but Grace gets him to the fire where she threw the Molotov that Remmick deflected, and he is stabbed in the chest by a wooden stake, in they both burn to death.
Personality[]
Bo was caring and loving to his wife and daughter and a great friend to Smoke and Stack. He was also hardworking to provide for his family to ensure they live a great life in America.
Unfortunately, he would then turn into a manipulative and bloodthirsty vampire after he got bitten by Remmick's vampires. He also didn't care that Remmick would kill and turn his daughter Lisa for her to "join his community" and had no hesitation to kill his former friends and even his own wife and daughter had he survived until dawn.
