Loki Laufeyson, also known as Boastful Loki, is a minor antagonist in Season 1 of the Disney+ series Loki. A variant of the original Loki Laufeyson, he supposedly obtained the Infinity Stones before being arrested by the Time Variance Authority.

He was pruned and taken to the void, where he encountered his other variants. He would betray Kid Loki's variant group for President Loki, but was betrayed himself and left to battle President's Loki army while the variants escaped.

He is portrayed by DeObia Oparei.

Biography[]

Background[]

Like his original version, Boastful Loki was a Frost Giant by birth, and is presumably, like the original and some of his variants, the son of Laufey. He would later be adopted into the Asgardian royal family, becoming one of the prince of Asgard and presumably the Norse god of mischief. According to Boastful Loki, in his world, he battled against the Avengers and killed Captain America and Iron Man. After defeating the heroes, he would obtain the six Infinity Stones and conquered the world, but his statements are left debatable by his other variants.

Due to causing a nexus event that diverted from the sacred timeline, Boastful Loki was arrested by the Time Variance Authority, which was created to stop variants to prevent a branch of the timelines. After his arrest, he was put on trial and later pruned, being sent into the void. In the void, Boastful Loki met with his other variants, Classic Loki, Kid Loki and Alligator Loki, and would evade being killed by Alioth. Though he at first showed loyalty to Kid Loki, Boastful Loki wanted to become king of the void, and made a deal with his other variant, President Loki. Boastful Loki promised President Loki that he would defeat Kid Loki, and promised to provide supplies and shelter while he became king.

Loki[]

When another variant, Loki Variant L1130, arrived after being pruned by judge Ravonna Renslayer, Boastful Loki and his allies met with him. Boastful Loki would inform Loki of what caused him to be arrested by the TVA, but Kid Loki and Classic Loki didn't believe Boastful Loki's claims of obtaining the Infinity Stones. When being caught by President Loki, Boastful Loki revealed to Kid Loki that he betrayed them, making a deal with the president variant by giving him their location. However, Boastful Loki is betrayed by President Loki, whom is also betrayed by his own men. When a brawl begins with President Loki's army, Boastful Loki battles them while Classic Loki, Kid Loki, Alligator Loki and Loki escape.

Trivia[]

His outfit resembles Loki's costume in the late 2000s and King Loki in the comics.
