- For the organization from the 1977 anime, see Boazanian Empire.
The Boazanian Empire is the main antagonistic faction of GMA Network's action science fantasy series Voltes V: Legacy, which is based on the Japanese anime series Voltes V. After Baron Hrothgar fled Boazania and took refuge on planet earth, Emperor Zu Zambojil ordered Prince Zardoz to invade it as revenge.
It is based on the Boazanian Empire from the original 1977 anime.
Biography[]
Past[]
Originally, the horned and hornless Boazanians co-existed peacefully, until the hornless ones started to be shunned and get treated as low-classes. When the crowned prince Hrothgar was born, he himself was hornless, so his parents decided to give him fake horns so he wouldn't endure any scorn. Mere moments before Hrothgar ascended to the throne, his cousin Zambojil revealed Hrothgar's "hornlessness" and allowed himself to be crowned instead. Hrothgar then led a coup against Zambojil, but was defeated and fled to Earth, immigrating with humans as Ned Armstrong.

Differences[]
- In the original anime, while most of the Boazanians resembled pale-skinned humans/white people, they also had Boazanians that had red skin (like Jangal) and blue skin (like Zuhl). However in Legacy, all Boazanians have Filipino actors.
- In the original anime, the Boazanian empire clothing was based on French clothing from the 17th century (due to the fact the Boazanian Empire is based on France). In Legacy, some costumes that were used in Encantadia are reused for some members of the Boazanian nobility.[1]
- The Boazanian language is portayed differently in the live action show than it is in the anime.
- Legacy states that 9 months on Earth is equal to 4 months in Boazan, but this was never stated in the anime.
