"Sweeper" Bobbin is a major antagonist in the manga and anime series One Piece. He is bishop ranked combatant of the Big Mom Pirates.
He is voiced by Tsubasa Yonaga in Japanese and Aaron Roberts in English.
Personality[]
Bobbin is coldblooded and sadistic individual, as he happily admitted to his Captain that he burned down an entire country when they did have her offerings.
Unlike most of the crew, he does not fear Big Mom and was capable of having a conversation with no fear. The likely reason is because of their similar mindset. He is quite loyal to his Captain, as after being attacked by Sanji, he declared that he will not let him ruin Big Mom's tea party that even demons attend.
Abilities and Powers[]
He was able to burn down an entire island, along with several comrades.
He is noted to have a great reputation by the Vinsmoke's sons, who recognized him and considered Bobbin one of the heavyweight of his crew due to his immense strength.
Bobbin also aided in the attack on Luffy and Nami, which ended with the capture of the young pirates. It was worth noting that Luffy was still exhausted from his battle with Charlotte Cracker and Sanji, so he wasn't able to put up much resistance.
He took a kick from Sanji and was able to recover quickly to chase him, showing great endurance.
He is skilled in hypnosis, as he put many soldiers to sleep by bobbing his head after emitting rays.
Despite his skill, he tends to drop his guard and this has backfired on him. This was best seen when he stole food from Sanji, which allowed the latter to kick him and when he allowed his anger at Sanji to make him lose him focus that allowed Vito to shoot him.
Biography[]
Fishman Island Arc[]
He is introduced telling his captain, the island he went to receive monthly tribute could not pay up. He gleefully informs her that he punished the country by burning it down. Big Mom was happy he did so, as the disrespect could not stand.
Whole Cake Island Arc[]
After the defeat of Sweet Commander Cracker, Bobbin rallied with his crewmates and they prepare to attack Luffy in revenge. After locating him and Nami, they engaged him in battle.
Once Luffy was left battered and exhausted, the battle ended with the capture of the young pirates.
Much later, Bobbin attended a meeting held by Mont' D'Or who noted on the current events; such as Pedro's apparent suicide, Luffy and Nami's supposed deaths by Opera (they were liberated by Jinbe), and the supposed misunderstanding of Jinbe's appearance. After believing everything was settled, it was declared the wedding and tea party, along with the assassinations of the Vinsmoke Family could commence.
While leaving, Bobbin came across food that was in a basket carried by Sanji. He was shocked to find the sulking Sanji, believing the latter was asleep but Sanji angrily told him the food wasn't his and kicked him into a wall. Bobbin weakly questioned this, before watching Sanji run off. Bobbin's crewmates found him but he hypnotized them and declared that he will dispose of the problem, as he chased after Sanji.
In the midst of pursuing Sanji, he was ambushed and shot by Vito of the Firetank Pirates. Bobbin made it to the center of Sweet city and cursing his assailant, who casually left the scene while Bobbin collapsed on the ground while Vito later confirmed this was his doing as he idolized Germa, so he couldn't let Bobbin hurt Sanji.
