Bolivar Trask (Ultimate Spider-Man game)

Bolivar Trask is the overarching antagonist of the 2005 video game Ultimate Spider-Man. He is the owner of Trask Enterprise and wants to capture Eddie Brock to recreate the symbiote's capabilities and turn it into a bio-weapon.

He was voiced by John Billingsley, who also voiced Metallo in the video game adaptation of Superman Returns.

Biography[]

Richard Parker and Edward Brock Sr., the fathers of Peter Parker and Eddie Brock Jr., respectively, and creators of the symbiote suit as a cancer treatment project, worked for Trask, who also owned Trask Enterprise. However, Trask wanted to take the symbiote suit's foundation and wield it as a weapon for his own purposes.

Ultimately, in order to get the symbiote suit, Trask recruited Silver Sable and the Wild Pack to apprehend Eddie Brock Jr., who ultimately changed into Venom. Trask reveals that he wants Eddie to test the suit and learn how to manage it after actually speaking with Brock. He placed Venom to fight Electro.

After Spider-Man was captured, Trask permitted Adrian Toomes to experiment with Spider-Man in order to figure out a manner of "completing" the Suit. Trask had given Silver Sable the task of getting crucial information about Spider-Man from Eddie.

Spider-Man stormed into Trask's office and demanded information about Richard Parker once Eddie fully controlled the suit. When Venom attacked Trask as he was ready to hand over a file, Trask panicked and ran to the rooftop helipad. Trask was followed by Venom and Spider-Man. Trask shoots Venom from inside the helicopter, but Venom was unconcerned and tried to knock the helicopter over, but it was only Spider-Man's quick action that stopped it. Trask ended up in SHIELD custody and received several years for his crimes.

When Eddie visited Trask in jail, he expressed his disbelief that Trask had only been sentenced to three years on a golf course despite everything he had done and made Eddie do. Trask objected, saying that Eddie couldn't harm him there since the guards would just step in and stop him. Eddie, however, changes into Venom and says, "They aren't nearly well armed enough." Trask was killed off-screen as a result.
