Biography[]
Not much is known about The Boogeyman. He is a monster that lives in The Magic Forest which is a forest inhabitated my magical creatures such as fairies, trolls, witches, etc. He goes into young children's rooms and scares them. Hansel and Gretel are abandoned in The Magic Forest by their stepmother Brunhilda. While wandering through the forest, The Boogeyman somehow finds Hansel and Gretel and roars at them, scaring them and making them scream. Luckily, The Sandman, who has also been walking through the forest, finds Hansel, Gretel, and The Boogeyman. The Boogeyman tells The Sandman to leave and says he's busy. The Sandman scolds back and tells him to leave as he is tresspassing on The Sandman's side of the forest. The Boogeyman mocks him and tells them that he has a date with The Wood Fairy. The Sandman tells him what he knows about The Wood Fairy which leads The Boogeyman saying he's jealous which The Sandman denies. The Boogeyman then leaves, presumably to scare other children. When Hansel and Gretel get kidnapped by The Witch, The Sandman and The Wood Fairy go to her gingebread house where Hansel and Gretel are being held hostage. While out saving Hansel and Gretel from The Witch, The Sandman has The Boogeyman replace him for the night and put kids to sleep using magic sleep dust. The Boogeyman does just that, telling the young boy he's visiting not to tell anyone. He appears at the end of the movie along with The Troll and The Sandman, visiting the two children who's dad was reading the story of the movie, revealing that he's real and was some of the original inspiration behind the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel. After The Sandman puts the two kids to sleep with his magic sleep dust, The Boogeyman, Troll, and Sandman leave.
