Booster VII, better known simply as Booster, is a supporting antagonist in the 1996 role-playing video game Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and its 2023 remake, simply titled Super Mario RPG. He is the eccentric and child-like ruler of Booster Tower, who falls in love with Princess Toadstool after she falls into his tower and attempts to marry her, before his plans are foiled by Mario and company.
Appearance[]
Booster is a dwarf-like human with a very thick black beard. He wears a red hat with a pair of horns on it and has a red nose.
Personality[]
Booster is a demented and childish man who appears to be very naive and unintelligent. He seems to not be entirely villainous at heart, as he seems to prefer having fun and entertainment. However, he can get more dangerous when people are trying to ruin his fun, such as when Mario tried to rescue Princess Toadstool and stop his wedding.
Biography[]
When Exor landed in Bowser's Keep, Mario, Princess Toadstool and Bowser were sent flying in opposite directions. After Toadstool ended up in Booster's Tower, Booster decided that he should marry her.
Eventually, Mario, Mallow, Geno and Bowser arrive to rescue Toadstool. Once they reach the top of the tower, Booster runs off with Toadstool and brings her to Marrymore, where he intends to marry her. Booster is given a wedding cake called Bundt by Chef Torte, but once Mario and company crash the wedding, the cake is revealed to be alive. As Mario is finishing Bundt off, Booster decides to eat it and head back to his tower, implying that he was more interested in having a party rather than actually getting married.
At the end of the game, he winds up falling in love with Valentina. In the pre-credits sequence, the two are seen getting married. However, Booster seems to have second thoughts and decides to flee.

- Booster bears a striking resemblance to Wario, another Super Mario villain.
