~ A guard to George Stobbart as he pleads to be freed from the Monastery.

Boris, Vlad and Sergei (also known as just Langham's Men) are supporting antagonists in the 2013 adventure mystery video game Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse.

They are Richard Langham's henchmen who assist him in locating a mysterious painting to kill Jehovah and establish Lucifer as the sole power of the universe.

Boris is voiced by Toby Longworth, who also portrayed Wilfred Hobbs in the same game, Pierre Carchon in Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars - The Director's Cut, Lott Dod in The Phantom Menace, Beep the Meep in Doctor Who and Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Sergei is voiced by Charles Cecil, who founded Revolution Games, the franchise's developer.

Vlad is voiced by Terry Wilton.

Personalities[]

Though it is hard to distinguish which henchman is which, the three share a bloodlust and aggressively gruff demeanour. However, one of them seems to have a more kindly nature whereby they seem to show affection to Donna, a goat in the Middle East. Despite their bravado, they also show moments of cowardice and fear toward Langham.

Physical appearances[]

All of them are tall, muscular Caucasian men with short, blonde hair, or short brown hair. They each wear a dark jacket and carry assault rifles.

Biographies[]

The henchmen appear in Spain when George Stobbart and Nicole Collard identify Gehnen's research on La Maledicció led to a castel. They block the entrance to the Monastery, and each give fake reasons as to why the entrance is blocked. George and Nico find another way in. When they find Gehnen's corpse and further evidence of the painting's powers, Langham arrives with his men where they shoot Tiago Marques, the true proprietor of the painting, and kidnaps his daughter, Eva.

Langham leaves a guard stationed in the castel to keep George and Nico prisoner - if the pair try and speak to the guard, he threatens to shoot them both immediately. However, George and Nico are able to distract the guard and have him investigate a section of the castel, where George uses a mason's hammer to knock out the guard so they escape.

They pursue Langham to the Middle East, where they encounter the guards. They show their fears about Langham, and are able to be diverted after George creates a mock explosive to have the guards flee.
