Boris is an antagonist from the 2015 horror-comedy anthology film Tales of Halloween. He appears as the villain protagonist of the segment called "This Means War". Boris lives at 5247 in Los Angeles, California. He is an old school Halloween fanatic and has been doing a large Halloween display for twenty years.
He was portrayed by Dana Gould.
Tales of Halloween[]
Boris is decorating his house for Halloween, setting up a classic, graveyard themed display called "Morbid Manor", complete with an animatronic talking skeleton. He sees a Red Hot Burnin' Skulz semi pull up at his neighbor Dante's house. Dante, along with his friends Ziggy and Axl begin setting up a far more gruesome and gore-oriented set of decorations on his own house as Boris watches. Not wanting Dante's Halloween decoration display to outshine his own and disliking Dante's tastes in Halloween decorations, Boris continues to decorate his house. This turns into a competition, as the two of them put up as many decorations as they can, to see who will have the better Halloween attraction by the end of the night.
That night, Boris is talking as his animatronic skeleton to trick or treaters through a headset he is wearing when loud rock music coming from Dante's house starts to play, scaring away the trick or treaters. Boris walks up to Dante's yard to ask him to turn the volume lower, as well as get his scantily-clad girlfriend to put on some more clothes, but Dante and his colleagues just tell him to "chill" and tell him that his decorations look "cute". Taking Dante's words as criticism and mockery, an angered Boris retaliates by wrecking the sound system, putting a halt to the music. After shutting off the music, Boris witnesses Dante exact revenge by using a baseball bat to knock off the head of his talking skeleton. Boris and Dante start to fight, as Velma, Ziggy, Axl, Tytan, Danzy and Butch cheer them on. They continue to fight as more people start to watch. When the Cops arrive as more and more people gather to watch, Boris stares at the crowd and then shoves Dante towards a sharp piece of standing wood. Both Boris and Dante are impaled on the piece of wood, killing both of them instantly and shocking the crowd.
