“ | No one does this to dad. And no one makes fun of Queen Barb. Ah! I need that Pop string. And I know who's gonna help me. The most feared bounty hunters in all of Trolldom. | „ |
~ Queen Barb deciding to hire the County Hunters after being "made fun of" by Poppy. |
The Bounty Hunters are the secondary antagonists of DreamWorks' 38th full-length animated feature film Trolls World Tour, the second installment of the Trolls franchise.
They are groups of Trolls of minor music genres who were hired by Queen Barb, the Queen of the Rock Trolls, into supporting her attempted world-dominating goals. Their main purpose is to capture Queen Poppy and retrieve the Pop Trolls' Pop music string in her goal of creating the Ultimate Power Chord to turn all other Trolls into rock zombies, so as to forcefully unite all the Troll tribes under Rock.
The Bounty Hunters consist of Chaz, the Reggaeton Trolls, the K-Pop Gang, and the Yodelers.
Bounty Hunters[]
Chaz[]
One of the Bounty Hunters hired by Queen Barb to capture Poppy. Originating from the Hinterlands, Chaz is the only troll that represents the Smooth Jazz genre. Being an ambush-type of bounty hunter, he uses a soprano-class saxophone to hypnotize his targets out of nowhere, placing them under a hallucinogenic state before they could react. He would then capture them before they could snap out of the trance.
Reggaeton Trolls[]
Consisting of Tresillo and his backup dancers, Marimba and Tambora, they are a trio of Trolls from the Hinterlands, who represent the music genre of Reggaeton. Being the least reliable of the Bounty Hunters, they prefer to let others do the work before attempting to steal their captured targets.
The K-Pop Gang[]
Coming from the Hinterlands and representing K-Pop, they are an all-girl group, who are quick and sneaky, having a liking to toy with their targets before grabbing and capturing them.
The Yodelers[]
Also hailing from the Hinterlands, the Yodelers, rather than representing a music genre, are associated with the singing genre Yodeling. The duo are the most reliable of all the Bounty Hunters, as they prefer to play the long game, where they would resort to deception and manipulation to gain the trust of their target[s] before eventually revealing themselves and capturing them.
Trivia[]
- Originally, Queen Barb wasn't going to bring in any Bounty Hunters. In an early scene that was cut, she stopped at a diner that features Trolls of unpopular music genres, where they play their music for no one. The Bounty Hunters featured are The Mariachi Sisters (representing the Mexican music genre Mariachi), Little Miss Polka (representing the Polka dance music genre), and The Barbershop Boys (representing the Barbershop Music a cappella genre).
