~ Brainiac's monologue and first words in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, speaking to the Suicide Squad after capturing them, also revealing his goal of rebuilding his planet Colu and what he plans to do to them, before Lex Luthor transports the Squad to his base, interrupting him.
He is an hyper-intelligent Coluan android made of alien technology who aspires to obtain all knowledge in the universe, leading him to turn on his creations and conquer planets for his research. Eventually, Brainiac finds himself on Earth, where he finds opposition from the Justice League, forcing him to brainwash them to enable his conquest of the planet so he can remake Earth into a new Colu, which leads the Suicide Squad to be regrouped and dispatched by Amanda Waller to stop Brainiac's forces. He is the arch-enemies of the Suicide Squad, the Justice League and Earth-2's Lex Luthor.
Brainiac makes his physical appearance in the city of Metropolis where he planted his ship and caused a worldwide havoc by infecting the superheroes to the degree of forcing them to eradicate anything that comes in their way, as stated by the possessed Flash himself, so much so Amanda Waller created the Suicide Squad to take down Brainiac along with an alternate counterpart of Lex Luthor, who gave them Gold Kryptonite to defeat some of Brainiac's strongest victims; Superman, whom they managed to defeat every member including scanning Batman to overwrite Brainiac’s system.
Brainiac makes his full appearance to the Suicide Squad as he admires their talents and proposed to be his next warriors and promises Captain Boomerang of his desires, much to the latter’s interest. Soon the Suicide Squad manages to blow up Brainiac’s cannons connecting to his ship but it was not enough to stop him. In the Climax the Suicide Squad traveled to Brainiac’s realm in the alternate dimension where he appears in person and begins to battle them as he mimics the Flash's powers.
During the final phase, he sends his creatures to attempt to defeat the squad, however the team manage to shoot down Brainiac’s field and entire army and encapsulating him in Amanda’s pods to which he almost suffocates after being let out. He sees Luthor and attempts to attack the latter with his tendrils but was quickly stabbed in the forehead by Amanda Waller using the hardware chip to abstract Brainiac’s essence creating a surge of uncontrollable wave before finally collapsing. After his death, Luthor tells the team which they need to defeat all thirteen variants of Brainiacs (excluding the one they already killed).
Bodies 6 and 7 killed, with Lawless recruited into the Suicide Squad and with Green Lantern rescued.
Personality[]
Brainiac is a calm, intelligent, cruel, cold, sadistic and violent megalomaniac who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. His motives are purely for his own self-interest, and he has no respect for others. He wants to make Earth a New Colu planet but he is willing to kill or brainwash people to do so, proving that he is ruthless.

Superhuman Intelligence: Brainiac's most notorious ability is his extremely advanced intellectual capabilities, being considered to one of the most intelligent beings in the entire universe itself. He uses this ability to outsmart his enemies.
Psionic Powers: His superhuman mental faculties have displayed a degree of psionic capabilities, which also allows him to mind control others.
Technopathy: His superhuman mind can can even mentally interface with technological equipment, as well as control his entire ship with his thoughts alone.
Biology: He was able to analyze and comprehend any lifeform that he captured. He would be able to augment them beyond their original limits and weaknesses, such as making Superman immune to kryptonite.
Augmented Physiology: Brainiac's body is augmented with extremely advanced cyber-prosthetics which are very powerful.
Superhuman Strength: Brainiac is incredibly powerful, having physical strength in superhuman levels.
Superhuman Durability: In addition to his incredible strength, Brainiac possesses physical endurance in superhuman levels that enables him to stand against assaults. His durability is mainly factored by his extremely proactive armour around his body.
Superhuman Speed: Brainiac is extremely fast, knowing to use his speed against his enemies. Brainiac possesses great reflexes in superhuman levels which enables him to know when to attack when he is being assaulted.
Regenerative Systems: Brainiac's augmented body has regenerative protocols that are able to help his body to heal from wounds.
Flight: Brainiac possess the ability to fly.
Tentacles: Brainiac body has six retractable tentacles on is back, which are also highly self-efficient in combat.
Superpower mimicry: He is able to take the powers of a subject and perfectly replicate them for use by his own body.

Batman under Brainiac's Control
Batman would eventually return to the public and join the Justice League in Metropolis at Superman's request, which he accepted. However, during Justice Day, Batman would fall under Brainiac's mind control alongside Superman and Green Lantern, and would serve Brainiac for the following three weeks during his invasion. Amanda Waller would then recruit Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark into the Suicide Squad to eliminate the Justice League one by one.
Batman acted as the primary coordinator of Brainiac's forces, ensuring complete control over Metropolis. He hunts the Squad a few times; they had captured Flash, but Batman manages to retrieve Flash, handing the speedster over to be indoctrinated by Brainiac.
Flash and Green Lantern are killed, then Superman kills Wonder Woman; her shield was made of kryptonite, however, it proved ineffectual against Superman now due to mutations done by Brainiac. The Squad enter Batman's old headquarters, in order to find a way to defeat him; his pre-brainwashed self left a message, providing tactics that will defeat the turned Justice League. The Squad fast-forward through the video, due to already defeating two of the League.
Batman's recording leaves a message of hope that a corrupt League can be beaten, but power is cut in the lair. Batman had arrived, then began flooding the compound with Scarecrow's fear toxin. The Squad work to ventilate the toxin out, eventually driving Batman to confront them directly. They beat him, but keep him alive at the request of Lex Luthor from Earth-2. Harley carries Batman over her shoulder to mock him for how he had once carried her, albeit finds too much difficulty, thus forcing them to shrink Batman to carry in a cylinder.

Restored to normal size, Batman is restrained in Luthor's lab, whereupon intrusive and painful experiments are done to excise the cause of Brainiac's mutagenic influence. After some missions, the Squad returns to Luthor's lab; he had created gold kryptonite, which theoretically could hurt Superman. The Squad take Batman to a park out in the open, leaving him bloodied and restrained on a park bench. Harley soliloquies about how Batman's years of fighting crime were actually acts of cruelty and persecution; he spitefully dismisses her, while she equated him to the Joker. Harley shoots Batman in the head, both to execute him and to lure Superman to their location.
Evidently Batman's torture was justified, as the gold kryptonite made Superman vulnerable, enabling the Squad to shoot him to death, thus removing Brainiac's final League minion.

Brainiac is the second Batman: Arkham villain who isn't traditionally depicted as a Batman villain, usually being depicted as a foe of Superman. The first was Simon Stagg, who is usually depicted as a foe of Metamorpho.
