Brainy Badboon is the main antagonist of the Furrowfield arc in the game Dragon Quest Builders 2. It is the leader of the Children of Hargon in Furrowfield, and is responsible for turning the once beautiful island into a lifeless wasteland.
Appearance[]
The Brainy Badboon is a giant baboon like creature with blue cheeks and pink fur. It has sharp fangs and wears a helmet with spike on top of its head, which has the symbol of Children of Hargon on it.
Personality[]
The Brainy Badboon is a brutal creature that is obsessed with the teaching of Children of Hargon, believing that destruction is savior and that building is evil. And would be willing to demolish anything related to creation to prove that. It greatly despise builders, killing Pastor Al for helping the Building at creating and destroyed the Deitree in front of the farmers of Furrowfield.
History[]
The Brainy Badboon was one of the high-ranking members of the Children of Hargon and was sent to the Furrowfield in the illusionary World. It corrupted the original Deitree into spreading the Ill wind instead of breeze, thus causing the spoilspores, plant like structure that would pollute grassland into lifeless wasteland after exploding. With that, the Brainy Badboon transformed the once fertile land of Furrowfield into an infertile wasteland that is almost incapable of growing any crops. The Brainy Badboon would also force the teaching of Children of Hargon to the farmers in Furrowfield, forcing them to follow Hargon and spread destruction instead. Eventually, the Brainy Badboon would successfully brainwashed the farmers into destroying stuffs instead.
However, this changed when the Builder and Malroth arrived on Furrowfield, as they helped the farmers Rosie, Bonanzo and Perry in growing crops successfully, with the guidance from the Brainy Badboon's right hand, Pastor Al. Eventually, as time goes on, the Builder successfully brought back the way of farming into all of the farmers in Furrowfield. However, after the harvest festival, the Brainy Badboon became aware of the action of the Builder and Pastor Al. It tried to order Pastor Al in destroying the farmland. After the latter refused, the Brainy Badboon angrily killed Al and destroyed the newly grown Deitree before it sent monsters to destroy the farmland before leaving, however the monsters were defeated.
As the farmers were going to finish a new Deitree, the Brainy Badboon returned so that it can destroy it just before the Deitree was finished so that it could crush the hope of the farmers. This time, after the Brainy Badboon's minions were defeated, it attacked the farmland personally, but was ultimately slain by the combined effort of the Builder, Malroth and the Farmers. After killing the Brainy Badboon, it dropped the Leaf of Life, which was then used to fully restore the Deitree and turning the Furrowfield into the beautiful farmland it once was again.
