The nameless Brass Knuckle Gangster is a minor antagonist in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part II: Battle Tendency.
He was voiced by Kanehira Yamamoto in Japanese and Richard Epcar in English.
Biography[]
The Brass Knuckle Gangster is a mafia henchman who appears at the restaurant where Joseph, Erina and Smokey decide to eat. Upon seeing Smokey, the gangster immediately starts complaining to the waiter about why one of "his kind" could be allowed in the restaurant, making various offensive remarks towards him.
Smokey tries to calm down the situation by leaving the restaurant but is stopped by Joseph who calms him and resolves to fight the gangster for his remarks. Despite Joseph's assumption that she would stop him, Erina allows him to fight the gangster in retaliation for him insulting their friend in public, although she advises her grandson to be weary of the others in the restaurant.
As the gangster reaches into his front pocket, Joseph tells him that he'll find his brass knuckles inside his back pocket instead, with him being surprised at his correct assertion. Joseph points out to the gangster that he has blood on his shirt from a fight before he entered the restaurant, and that as such he wasn't wearing his coat during the fight since there is no blood on it. Unimpressed, the gangster begins to beat on Joseph using his brass knuckles, only for it to be revealed to him by the former that he was attacking a hat rack instead. Stabbing through his hand, the gangster proceeded to faint from shock, much to the applause of the restaurant's patrons. Afterwards, a mafioso approaches the three and apologizes for his subordinate's behavior, also informing them of Speedwagon's supposed death at the hands of Straizo.
What happened towards the gangster is completely unknown, but it's presumably that he was arrested for his crimes against Smokey.
Trivia[]
- Ironically, Richard Epcar, who voiced the Brass Knuckle Gangster in English, also voiced Joseph Joestar in the English dubs of both JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable.
