Brawler (喧嘩屋, Kenka-ya) is a protagonist in the anime Akudama Drive. He is a calm yet incredibly strong fist-fighter who enjoys fighting and befriends Hoodlum.
He was voiced by Shunsuke Takeuchi in Japanese and Zeno Robinson in English.

Brawler enjoys fighting, it's one of his main pleasures in life aside from eating meat.
Brawler is incredibly dumber with him believing all of the extremely obvious lies that Hoodlum tells him.

Past[]
Prior to the events of the anime, Brawler spent his time beating up any strong opponent who could find which lead to him getting labelled as an Akudama who was given a prison sentence of 348 years for murder and assault.
Akudama Drive[]
Episode 1[]
Brawler is first seen in an empty area, fighting off police robots to have fun with him quickly dispatching an entire horde of them. The last one he defeated gave him a message that if he wanted to truly test his skills, he should try to save Cutthroat from his Execution by Black Cat.
Once he and his fellow Akudama free Cutthroat, they all get a bomb collar put around her neck before they were all told by Black Cat that they were hired by them and that freeing Cutthroat was a test to see if they could pull off the heist of stealing the vault from the Shinkansen.
Episode 2[]
During the Akudamas' escape from the police, Brawler starts to fight against the Execution Division Apprentice and Master to a fight, managing to hold his own against the former but is quickly defeated by the latter. With him only escaping thanks to Courier.
Episode 4[]
Once on the Shinkansen, Brawler meets the two members of the Execution Division. Brawler sets his sights on the Master, however, during the fight, Brawler gets stabbed through the stomach, while he manages to last the rest of the fight, he eventually collapses and needs Doctor's medical assistance, however, since Brawler proved to be able to resist her drugs, she intentionally stitched the wounds wrong so they'd reopen when he fights next.
Episode 6[]
With the reappearance of the Execution Division Master, Brawler challenged him to a fight with both of them going all out despite their injuries. During this fight, Brawler's wounds open up, causing him to lose a lot of blood.
In the end, Brawler died during his fight, taking the Execution Division Master down with him.
Villainous Acts[]
- In his introduction and the rest of episode 1, he is shown destroying a large number of police robots for seemingly no reason except for his own amusement.
- In episode 1, with nothing more than the promise that it would be entertaining, Brawler willingly broke into the Osaka police department, causing major property damage to the building in order to free the prisoner Cutthroat.
- In episode 2, Brawler is shown hijacking an airbus out of the air by grabbing the pilot and throwing him out of it with the pilot falling hundreds of metres to his death.
- While he was forced to do so, Brawler showed no objection to breaking into the Shinkansen and robbing it of its cargo.
- While technically in self-defence, Brawler showed great enjoyment in duelling the Execution Division Master to the death with the two ultimately killing each other.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Superhuman Strength: Brawler excels at pure physical strength, this strength allows him to easily grapple with and destroy robots, jump hundreds of metres to a flying blimp and lift up and slam large stone pillars.
