Brick is a minor antagonist from Marvel's What If...? series. He is a soldier of HYDRA whom Captain Carter encounters.
History[]
Brick was a loyal, and possibly high-ranking soldier of HYDRA and was one of the soldiers escorting the Arnim Zola along with the Tesseract. However, the envoy was intercepted by Peggy Carter (who had taken the Super Soldier Serum instead of Steve Rogers in an alternate timeline). As HYDRA's agents were beaten one after the other, Brick steps out to see who was responsible, and was amused to see that it was a woman. He then mocks the Allies for sending out a female to fight on their behalf and prepares to fight Peggy in hand-to-hand combat.
In response to this insult, Peggy becomes angry, drops her shield and walks up to him. Brick throws the first punch, but Peggy easily dodges and counters with a punch to Brick's knee, breaking it and causing him to scream in pain. She then hits him in the gut, and as he doubles over, she finishes the fight by punching his head into the ground, leaving a crack on it. With Brick defeated, Peggy captures Zola and retrieves the Tesseract.
