Bright Man is one of the eight Robot Masters and a minor antagonist in Mega Man 4. He was created by Dr. Cossack for exploring dark areas, latter he was modified by Dr. Wily to defeat Mega Man.
Appearance
Bright Man is a mainly orange robot. He has a yellow light bulb as his head. His eyes are green, his right arm has a cannon, his arms are white and his legs are black while his hand and feet are orange. His Ruby-Spears incarnation gives him a yellow face and a solar panel on his chest.
Biography
Mega Man 4
In battle, Bright Man will jump towards Mega Man to damage him, he can stop him using his Flash Stopper and jump towards him or shoot him. An odd thing is that Bright Man's Flash Stopper is disabled at all health values barring 16, 8, and 4. His weakness is the Rain Flush; upon defeating Bright Man, Mega Man will get his hands on the Flash Stopper, which Pharaoh Man is weak to. Bright Man reappears in the boss rush where he's defeated again.
Mega Man & Bass
Bright Man makes a cameo as CD data in Mega Man & Bass. His CD Data describes him with the following:
- Description: "His Flash Stopper emits one million watts of power in order to stun enemies."
- Quote: "Ah! Eureka! I'll write it down."
- Good points: Long on ideas
- Bad points: Chatterbox

Mega Man IV
Bright Man is one of the first four initial bosses in Mega Man IV. He is stationed inside a facility located within a city for this game. His moves are the same, but his Flash Stopper is there for him to use regardless of which HP he's on making it more difficult.
Mega Man (Game Gear)
In Mega Man for the Game Gear, Bright Man is one of the four bosses, his moves are the same, his weakness is the Star Crash.
Mega Man (Ruby-Spears)
Bright Man appears in the Mega Man cartoon in the episodes "Electric Nightmare", "Robo Spider", "Curse of the Lion Men" and "Bro Bots".
In Electric Nightmare, he storms the Power Plant, paralysing the workers there with his Flash Stopper. Mega Man uses a mirror to make Bright Man hit himself with the attack. Rush then steals the Flash Stopper, blinding Bright Man's cohorts with it so Mega Man can defeat Dr. Wily.
His appearance in Robo Spider has him try to blast Mega Man with his tank, but he misses and is defeated. Bright Man later appears and has his weapon copied by Mega Man, who blinds Wily's robots with it to get the upper hand.

- Bright Man is missing his cannon in the E-Capcom Rockman 30th Anniversary Artbook.
- Bright Man's name was originally going to be "Pearl Man" as a reference to a light bulb brand in Japan.
