Brockenman is a minor antagonist in the manga series Kinnikuman.
He serves as a minor antagonist during the 20th Chojin Olympics arc of Kinnikuman.
Personality[]
Brockenman as a Brutal Chojin thoroughly enjoys murdering his opponent with every fight he has ever fought ending with his opponent dying.
What Brockenman's relation to the Nazi Party is unknown, however, in Deep of Muscle 13, Brockenman denounces Hitler and his ideology while stating that his ideal world would transcend barriers created by race and religion.
Biography[]
Past[]
Brockenman was born and raised in Germany, having close relations with the military, he murdered any Kaiju who attacked his country.
Eventually, Brockenman would adopt a group of children and strictly train them to become Chojin when they turn 18 which happened to Brocken Jr. who Brockenman saw as his legitimate son.
Kinnikuman[]
Brockenman first appears during the 20th Chojin Olympics as the official Chojin Representative for Western Germany. He makes it past all of the preliminary trials and ends up matched up against Ramenman, another Brutal Chojin. This fight would prove to be Brockenman's undoing as Ramenman would overpower Brockenman and with Ramenman's signature technique, the Camel Clutch would be killed, being the only Chojin during the 20th Chojin Olympics to do so.
Afterlife[]
After his death, Brockenman, just like all Chojin, would end up in the Chojin Graveyard where he could obtain four Life Balls to resurrect himself. He wished to return to life so his dream of taking over the world could become true and so he could teach his son Brocken Jr. all of his secrets.
Just before Brockenman was about to revive, he saw that Brocken Jr. was being taught by his killer, Ramenman, Brockenman was satisfied with knowing that his son had an effective teacher and gave up on returning to life, instead choosing to stay dead.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Chojin Physiology: As a Chojin, Brockenman has immense strength, speed and durability. Other abilities that Chojin have that Brockenman has is the ability to grow to be as large as a building and the ability to fly without wings or thrusters, even in the vacuum of space.
Trivia[]
- Brockenman's name comes from the Brocken which is the highest peak in the Harz mountain range and also the highest peak in Northern Germany.
- Brockenman's death was changed in the anime from the manga. In the original manga, Ramenman's Camel Clutch pulled Brokenman in half, separating Brockenman's legs from his torso. In the anime, Ramenman's Camel Clutch fatally twisted Brockenman's spine 360 degrees, before turning Brockenman into noodle dough, which Ramenman promptly turned into ramen noodles.
- Due to his attire, Brockenman caused a large amount of controversy, with the French dub of the series being cancelled after Brockenman's introduction.
- Brockenman alongside his son, Brocken Jr., would have their designs changed to become more generally military-themed rather than Nazi-themed when Kinnikuman Nisei started its run.
- Brockenman is one of the few characters introduced in the original Kinnikuman manga to die and stay dead, the others being Kinnikuman Soldier, Neptune King and Prince Kamehame.
- Additionally, Brockenman is the first Chojin to die on screen.
