Brodie, nicknamed The Phantom Thief, is a reccuring antagonist of the Pokemon Anime. Originally a member of Team Magma, Brodie and his Ditto used their skills to assume the identities of anyone to get the job done. After the defeat and disbandment of both Team Magma and Team Aqua, Brodie decided to go into business for himself.
Brodie was voiced by Andrew Paull in the English Dub, and Katsuyuki Konishi in the Japanese dub.
History[]
In the episode Unfair-Weather Friends, Brodie originally appeared to Ash and his friends as Millie, a female researcher at the Hoenn Weather Institute. The station had come under attack by Team Aqua, who wanted information on the Legendary Pokemon native to the region. After narrowly escaping the group, Brodie revealed his real identity, making off with the data for his own team.
Brodie would return long after during the episode, The Ribbon Cup Caper. Here, since Team Magma was disbanded, Brodie took to stealing for himself, targeting the Ribbon Cup for this year's Hoenn Grand Festival. He was initially successful, having switched out the real cup for a fake. Deciding to catch Brodie, Ash and his friends lured him out with a fake prize of a Gold Pokeball. This worked, with Brodie nearly captured, only to call out his Golbat to use Haze and escape. He was never heard from again.
