Biography[]
Psycho/Therapist[]
Freed's first appearance is her leaving the court after being the one to be William Lewis' jury forewomen. In court, she listens to the testimonies of Detectives Fin Tutuola, Amanda Rollins, and Nick Amaro of the NYPD's Special Victims Unit, who apprehended Lewis after he committed a series of rapes and murders. Lewis cross examines the detectives, and he shakes her confidence, with her looking at the detectives with hate. Sergeant Olivia Benson takes the stand and testifies about Lewis kidnapping and torturing her, but Freed still believes that Lewis is innocent. Viva Nuñez, a women kidnapped by Lewis, including her daughter, also talks on the stand and Lewis uses her as a defense to talk about how Benson told her and her kid to leave the house, which happens to be a problem as they had illegal citizenships. Lewis also brings in the doctor that healed him and she states that the injury he endured when Benson beat him with a pipe almost killed him was excessive, he lastly calls for a recess.
Lewis on the stand is so convincing, that she actually believes that Lewis is innocent and starts to help him despite knowing what he can do. Officially he is not charged with attempted murder and attempted rape but is charged with kidnapping and assault of a police officer.
Beasts Obsession[]
Freed's arrogance leads her to believe that he is completely innocent despite the immense evidence that proves otherwise. So, she helps him by smuggling Propranolol to help his anxiety, but he escapes and finding out, she is shocked but still believes him to be innocent. She is almost tried for assisting in rape and murder but is left untouched with political pressure about corruption in the prison system.
Post-Mortem Blues[]
After Lewis' suicide, Derek Strauss tries to pin Benson on murder and assault, for which Derek again asks Freed to help. She tells grand jury that Lewis died four times in the ambulance after Benson beat him up, and that she should be charged for it as she always had a personal vendetta against him.
