Biography[]
Broodwing was a very evil yet also unemotional alien that was selling weapons, creatures, and robots to anyone who could afford it. He only cared about the money he made and nothing about the destruction that follows.
When Emperor Gruumm decided to take over the Earth, after destroying Sirius and Melandia, Gruumm hired Broodwing and demanded him to help him conquer the Earth by selling him the weapons and monsters.
Broodwing takes pride in his merchant skills and begins to plot revenge on Emperor Gruumm when he starts ordering him to offer his services while refusing to pay. He later came into contact with Gruumm and started being his weapons and Krybot supplier, as well as finding and corrupting monsters to help serve their purposes.
Broodwing served as Gruumm's second-in-command and his primary enforcer, and sold Gruumm weapons and giant robots for monsters, as well as the blueheads. He was often forced play with Mora much to his displeasure. Despite working for Gruumm, Broodwing also worked for other aliens as well. Halfway through the season, Gruumm got frustrated with Broodwing's expensive weapons that were ineffective against the Rangers and demanded free weapons from him, causing Broodwing to question his loyalties. Broodwing is the source of the rare Orangehead Krybots also has control over a rare race of bats whose bite can cause beings to grow huge. He was one of the Gruumm's top minions throughout the season, along with Mora, and worked together with Gruumm, trying to take over the Earth, the planet, which stood on Gruumm's way of conquest, but later Broodwing's loyalty became smaller and smaller after Gruumm refused to pay him. Shortly after the arrival of Omega Ranger, Gruumm began ordering Broodwing to provide his services while refusing to pay for them if his monsters cannot afford them. This did not sit well with Broodwing, whose main motivation has always been money so he began plotting against Gruumm and attempted to conquer Earth first in order to one-up him. For a while, Broodwing was actually behind more attacks on Earth than Gruumm was. One of his assaults involved bringing the Dino Rangers from the past and planning to force them to do his bidding so he could destroy the SPD Rangers.
Eventually, when Gruumm stopped paying him for his services, Broodwing went rogue and vowed to defeat the S.P.D. Rangers himself and take down the Troobian Empire as well. In the final scenes, when the S.P.D. Earth Commander, Anubis "Doggie" Cruger, was captured by the rogue A-Squad Rangers and brought to Gruumm's spacecraft, Broodwing took advantage of this and invaded the Delta Base with four monsters and a Krybot army and activate the Delta Command Megazord to destroy Newtech City. His plans nearly succeeded as the B-Squad was busy fighting the rogue A-Squad Rangers. However, the B-Squad defeated the A-Squad with the S.W.A.T. Megazord and Kat Manx and Boom were able to escape with help from R.I.C. and disable the Delta Command Megazord.
He tried to battle the S.P.D. B-Squad Rangers in the Megazord, but was defeated and imprisoned in the containment card after Jack Landors judged him for all the crimes he had committed.
Personality[]
Broodwing is highly cold, ruthless, greedy, selfish, yet unemotional criminal who cares about nothing except the money. He cares only about payment for his services, such as selling robots and weapons to alien criminals and monsters, and doesn't care about chaos which he causes. Despite this, he is also highly intelligent, cunning, calculating and creative, and is highly skilled in robotics, mechanics, and rare chemicals, and served as one of Gruumm's most valuable minions. He was originally highly loyal to Gruumm, and sold him the weapons and Krybots, but after Gruumm abused his services and refused to pay him, Broodwing turned against him, and decided to take over the Troobian Empire and ultimately betray and get revenge on his former master. It's hard to say who was really guilty, because Broodwing gave Gruumm valuable help with his services, and even if his robots and weapons were ineffective and failed to succeed in Gruumm's plans, Broodwing still did everything he could for him, and Gruumm ultimately abused his loyalty and refused to pay him, destroying Broodwing's loyalty and turning him against Gruumm. Broodwing demonstrated a treacherous and devious side, as he betrayed Gruumm, even though the alien emperor previously betrayed him, and decided to take over the Earth and galaxy for himself, as well as the Troobian Empire. Broodwing also showed to be a highly intelligent, calculating and excellent planner, as he successfully took over the Delta Base for his own needs. In his final moments, Broodwing showed to be cowardly, pleading the Rangers and trying to reason with them, only to be arrested anyway and screaming at them how they dared to treat him like this.

Trivia[]
- In Dekaranger, Broodwing was sent flying out of the Delta Base rather than taking a controlled flight to the ground in a shot exclusively shot for SPD.
- This was changed because he went flying out of the Delta Base as a result of Jack’s counterpart shooting him repeatedly in the face and chest with the Delta Blasters.
- However, a remnant of this can be seen in his final battle since, when he lands, he lands hard on his head and face despite the controlled descent.
- Unlike his Sentai counterpart, who was the main villain of Dekaranger, he was only second-in-command to Emperor Gruumm, who has no Sentai counterpart. In more, whereas his Sentai counterpart is destroyed, Broodwing is imprisoned by S.P.D. Rangers.
- In the Power Rangers Dino Charge episode "Wishing For A Hero," Broodwing's bat-winged cape was combined with Beevil's head and chest armor and a generic body to make an unnamed prisoner on Sledge's Ship.
- Broodwing can be seen as a member of the audience of Galaxy Warriors in Power Rangers Ninja Steel, in the Warrior Dome where Galaxy Warriors is filmed. In these appearances, Broodwing doesn't have his head container.
- Broodwing is one of the few major Power Rangers villains to both survive the events of the season and not get any redemption. The others are Queen Bansheera, Emperor Gruumm, Mora, The A-Squad Rangers and Scrozzle. Octoroo's final fate is unknown.
