Hi. This is Thesecret1070. I am an admin of this site. Edit as much as you wish, but one little thing... If you are going to edit a lot, then make yourself a user and login. Other than that, enjoy Villains Wiki!!!
Brother Blood is the main antagonist of Teen Titans: The Judas Contract. He is the leader of the H.I.V.E. and was Deathstroke's employer who had sought to capture the Teen Titans in order to absorb their superpowers, thereby enabling him to become a "god" by utilizing his newfound abilities to secure world domination.
He was voiced by Gregg Henry, who also portrayed Martin Proctor in Black Lightning, Edmund Ross in Law & Order: Organized Crime, Gallatin in Star Trek: Insurrection, and The Voice in The Belko Experiment.
Brother Blood first appears in an interview in which he defends his "church" of accusations. After the interview, he kills the reporter for "blasphemous" insinuations and returns to his lair. Brother Blood has built a machine in which he tests on Jericho which works but he has Jericho shot (or so he thought).
At a cemetery, he meets Deathstroke whom he hired to capture the Teen Titans. He doubles the pay to move the contract up for a week in which Deathstroke agrees. After Deathstroke along with Terra capture the Titans (except Nightwing), Brother Blood finds that he cannot operate the machine without one more Titan until Deathstroke offers Terra.
After the ritual to make Brother Blood into a god begins, Nightwing arrives and destroys the machine but the machine still made Brother Blood have the same powers as the other Titans.
While Deathstroke battles Robin and Nightwing, Brother Blood battles the other Titans but he is defeated when Raven strips him of his powers. He is then shot by his loyal follower, Mother Mayhem, revealing that she loved him and wanted to mercifully spare him from being locked up.
Personality[]
Brother Blood is shown to be a villain who is hungry for power to become like a god. This obsession led him to his downfall.
He has intense hubris, and when challenged, he acts mildly irritated in the moment, but eventually has the offender murdered for their "blasphemy." However, he seemed capable of excusing sarcasm from mercenaries in his employ, at least in regards to Deathstroke; he even attempted to convert him, yet wasn't offended when Deathstroke refused and dismissed his entire cult.
While presenting himself with bravado and confidence, upon facing defeat, he reveals his true self as a pleading coward, who can't understand why his destiny failed him, while begging threats to allow him to try again.
Powers and Abilities[]
Charisma
Eternal Vitality: Blood is over 900 years old. He believes that his immortality is achieved through bathing in the blood of his enemies, however, this is possibly an incorrect assumption and the truth is merely a meta-human power.
In the comic adaption of The Judas Contract, Brother Blood was not involved with the story.
Brother Blood embodies each of the Seven Deadly Sins:
Pride: He egotistically views himself as a god-like being destined to rule the world and believes others (including his followers) to be beneath him.
Greed: He values his riches as it enables him to buy the services of those he employs. His goal to acquire the Titans' abilities stems from his desire to become more powerful.
Wrath: He kills news reporter Bryce Peterson simply for calling his church a “glorified cult” during an interview, an act that proves he can be quite vindictive and vengeful when pushed too far.
Sloth: Having Deathstroke and Terra capture the Titans shows that he prefers his minions to do his dirty work for him rather than doing it himself.
Lust: He is obsessed with power and is in a romantic relationship with his aide Mother Mayhem, though he merely sees her and the rest of his followers as a means to an end.
Gluttony: He continuously baths in his enemies' blood believing it has extended his life for centuries.
Envy: He covets god-hood to assert dominion over mankind and steals the Titans' powers as opposed to relying on his natural resources.
