The Bruiser Brothers are major antagonists of the 1993 video game, Doom and its 1996 updated version of the game, The Ultimate Doom.

They are an individual duo of Barons of Hell who were the first Barons to be encountered by Doomguy as the first bosses in the episode, Knee Deep in the Dead.

Biography[]

Doom[]

The Bruiser Brothers were one of the many demons who resided in Hell who both rose up together to become Barons of Hell to command a majority of demons in servitude to the Spider Mastermind. With the Spider Mastermind unleashing the demon hordes on Deimos and Phobos, the Bruiser Brothers spread the invasion as they command the demons on Phobos, killing many soldiers and scientists while having a majority of deceased soldiers reanimated as zombies.

With the news of Doomguy arriving at Phobos, the Bruiser Brothers ordered all demons to defeat him as well as to keep him away from the portal to Deimos they are known to have been guarding. Despite everything they went to stop Doomguy, he is proven unstoppable with many hordes of demons getting killed. With one final option left, the Bruiser Brothers orchestrated an ambush to ensure he does not reach the portal. By the time Doomguy arrives, the Bruiser Brothers emerge from the two pillars ambushing him as they attack him with the aid of Spectres. Even in their powerful combat, they were eventually killed by Doomguy alongside their Spectres as he entered the portal to Deimos before getting ambushed by the demons on Deimos as orchestrated by the Cyberdemon.

Doom (2016)[]

Despite not being the actual game's campaign, they did return in the classic map levels where they once again fought against the Doom Slayer this time on their own without assistance from the Spectres. While they did have their powers upgraded as they are based on their counterparts from the game's main campaign, this doesn't stop them as even with their upgraded power, they were both killed by the Slayer as he departs.
