It's easy to light a match, Sofía. The problem is when you have to put out the fire.
~ Bruno's analogy to Sofía about the messy results in creating the "No Impunity" forum to avenge Susana.

Bruno is one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside Gerry's Father) of the Netflix series Control Z.

He serves as one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Gerry Granda), the overarching antagonist of the second season and the main antagonist of the third season.

He is the head of the school's I.T. department who motivated Raúl León into becoming the hacker in the first place, thus becoming his accomplice.

He is portrayed by Mauro Sánchez Navarro.

Biography[]

Before the Series[]

At some point, Bruno blackmails Raúl into giving him ten thousand pesos or he will leak some incriminating videos evidencing (the ones that show his friends playing with his antique collections) that Raúl's father is a corrupt politician, as a result of inviting his friends over at his house and showing them his father's antique collections. Shortly after overhearing his friends talk about him, knowing they are only with him because he has money, Raúl immediately confronts Bruno for having blackmailed him only for miserable pesos (when he spot him retrieving them from a trash can), but nevertheless asks Bruno how can he hack a phone, which stems from his previous conversation with Sofía at the school roof where she wished that the world would be better if everyone just told the truth.

Season 1[]

Bruno starts assisting Raúl through his actions as the hacker, first creating the account "All Your Secrets" , then providing him with the secrets of Gerry, Natalia and Pablo, and Isabela's as well prior to a presentation hosted by Quintanilla to teach the students how to properly use their cellphones. To ensure he isn't suspected by his friends, Bruno also adds Raúl's secret about his father. Bruno remarks that Raúl wants revenge on his friends, to which he argues that they brought this on themselves. During the presentation, Isabela's secret (after Raúl picked her as the first victim) is revealed to the entire school after Gerry is cued anonymously by Raúl to upload the video containing the evidence while Bruno simultaenously plays it on his laptop, causing Isabela to run out of the auditorium, with her friends Natalia and María following suit, in tears as she is being laughed at by the students, while feigning ignorance in front of Quintanilla over how the video got there. Natalia is also revealed to have parttaken in Isabela's secret as the hacker also threatened to reveal her secret unless she stole Isabela's cellphone. The hacker later texts Isabela, asking her if she wants to get revenge, revealing Raúl, Gerry and Natalia's roles they played in her secret, as well as Pablo, who publicly broke up with her, betraying her when he pretended not to know her secret. Infuriated, Isabela replies "yes".

The next day, at Isabela's request, the hacker ends up revealing the secrets of Gerry, Raúl, Natalia and Pablo, all of whom fight each other during a Biology class, when Gerry, to avoid his own humiliation, keeps mocking Isabela over her transgender identity, while Isabela calls out Raúl and Natalia for aligning themselves with the hacker. Javier, the new kid who enrolled mid-year to the school, gets in the middle of the fight trying to stop them. Gabriela, the teacher, fed up with this, has them all summoned to the principal's office to sort out their issues, while Sofía deliberately gets herself sent there, by criticizing how "poorly" Gabriela handled the situation, to investigate more. As both Sofía and Javier wait for their turns to meet Quintanilla separately, she shows Javier around the school and introduces him to Bruno. There, Sofía spooks him when she pretends to have overheard Quintanilla considering having Bruno fired, making Bruno worried that he hasn't been doing his job properly, which paints him in a bad position. After Raúl's meeting with Quintanilla, he meets with Bruno who is confident that Sofía, despite being smart, won't suspect him in the hacking because she thinks he is useless. Bruno asks Raúl why don't they ever get ahold of a secret of Sofía, to which Raúl becomes disgusted and tells Bruno to mind his own business. Bruno also pokes fun at the fact of the possible relationship between her and Javier, but Raúl is sure that Sofía would be crazy enough to date a guy like him.

When Raúl hosts a party at his house, he invites Sofía (albeit texting her as the hacker to come and await further instructions). Once there and after spending a brief good time enjoying, the hacker instructs Sofía to go up the roof and finds Alex there, ordering her to make Sofía jump off the roof to the pool, threatening to reveal Alex's secret if she refuses. Sofía reluctantly follows suit and jumps, despite Javier's objections at finding this to be pointless. Raúl then puts on a mask and kidnaps Sofía as the hacker. After a brief conversation, he leaves her to Bruno for him to take her home. Bruno correctly deduces that Raúl is doing all of this for her because, according to Raúl, she is different from everyone he knows at school. Bruno reminds Raúl that there are other ways to flirt with girls, before Bruno then leaves Sofía unconscious at her house. The pressured Quintanilla start questioning Bruno's ability to keep the hacking at bay. Gathering some clues from a truck, Sofía teams up with both Javier and Raúl, who clash with each other over her. They find out the truck belongs to Bruno, and try to interrogate him, after realizing he is in league with the hacker. He attacks and overpowers Javier, before Raúl frees him and orders him to escape when Javier shows up, while Bruno complains that he isn't getting paid enough. Bruno then manages to escape and drives off in his truck. When Sofía finds a belonging of Javier's, she and Raúl start doubting him and begin to suspect he is the hacker, believing also that he let Bruno go. This is the last time Bruno is ever seen, before being ultimately mentioned by Sofía to Quintanilla when she tips him off about Bruno's involvement with the hacker, even when his absence at the school is felt through his now empty office. Then the audience is shown a brief recap of the previous semester and the origins (shown above) of Raúl's motivation to becoming the hacker, as well as Bruno talking him into commiting those actions, alongside the pivotal plot elements about Bruno (shown here) in the form of flashbacks. It is unknown what happened to Bruno afterwards, but the beginning of the second season regarding the aftermath of Raúl's exposure as the hacker would give the audience the exact message that Bruno was fired from the school for his actions.

Season 2[]

While Bruno did not appear in the second season, a photo of him can be seen pasted on a board made by Javier as he and Sofía investigate the Avenger, another hacker who terrorizes the student body in order to avenge Luis. He is also mentioned once by Raúl to Quintanilla when he said that Bruno had confessed to being the hacker.

Quotes[]

It's me, Sofía. I'm @_allyoursecrets_. I created the forum. I can't control it anymore, there's too many of them. They're very dangerous. And they want to kill me. And this is all f--king Raúl's fault. (Sofía: How...? How could it be Raúl's fault?) That motherf--ker and I had a deal. I would take the blame for everything, and he gave me money, he protected me inside that jail. But then the bastard decided to stop paying. It all went to hell, Sofía. When I got out of prison, I wasn't allowed to use Internet, I couldn't use computers, and of course, no one wants to hire an ex-convict. Well, almost no one.
~ Bruno confessing to Sofía that he is @_allyoursecrets_ and how his life was completely ruined because of Raúl's actions
(Sofía: You said they forbid you from using computers. So, you got out of jail, then you hacked Raúl's phone. And that's where you saw the picture of Susana.) I saw your messages. Heard your voice mails. (Sofía: But we didn't murder Susana.) You and your little friends killed her. And then you moved the body to make it look like a suicide. And you carried on as if nothing had happened. Because you guys are never to blame for anything. (Sofía: And why didn't you tell on us, then?) Because you would've found a way to get away with it. Raúl would've paid a lot of money. And a nobody like me would've paid for his sins in jail.
~ Bruno revealing how he found out about Susana's death and calling out Sofía and her friends' actions in saving their own skin
