Bucket of Bolts is the Steam train-themed monster of the Machine Empire serving Prince Sprocket and a major antagonist in the Power Rangers Zeo episode "Invasion of the Ranger Snatchers."

He is voiced by Richard Epcar who previously voiced Shellshock, Mutitus, Cyclops, Goatan, the Primator, the Invenusable Flytrap, Inciserator and the Brick Bully in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and later voiced the Defoliator, Autochthon and Protectron all also in Zeo, Vacsacker in Power Rangers In Space, Barbarax and Fishface in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, Cyclopter in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, Vexicon in Power Rangers Time Force and Bowling Org in Power Rangers Wild Force. Outside of Power Rangers, he is best known as the Joker in the Injustice game series and Akuma in Street Fighter.

Biography

Unlike many other monsters, Bucket of Bolts was originally a lifeless monster suit designed for a monster B-movie dubbed "Invasion Of Blueface" which is based loosely on the Zeo Rangers' fight against the Machine Empire. Bucket of Bolts is first seen fighting the movie's main character before being slammed into the Leaky Faucet suit. Inspired by the movie, Prince Sprocket decides to shoot his own movie but use it to destroy the Zeo Rangers and render the Earth defenceless. Instead of using pre-built monsters of the Machine Empire though, since Sprocket thinks that using any other monsters will make his movie less impressive, he decides to steal the monster suits from the movie set. The Cogs succeed, taking the Bucket of Bolts suit along with three others and luring the Zeo Rangers into a massive Cog battle where they are captured by the Video Vulture. Whilst the Rangers are trapped, the suits are animated as sentient monsters for use in the Prince's film.

Despite being shown as a standalone monster suit, Bucket of Bolts is only created as part of Sprocket's new ending when the four other monsters merge together before immediately being enlarged by Klank and Orbus. Although he blasts the Rangers, they are unfazed and summon the Zeo Megazord only for it to be overwhelmed by Bucket of Bolts. When he turns into a train and blasts it though, his blasts don't faze the Zeo Megazord so the scared monster tries to make his escape across a bridge only for an energy slash from the Zeo Megazord Saber to cut one of the bridge supports. Now unstable, the bridge collapses under Bucket of Bolts' weight and the monster plummets to his death.

After Prince Sprocket complained about Punch-A-Bunch damaging himself during battle against the Zeo Rangers, Buckets of Bolts is indirectly referenced along with all previous monsters used up to that point when Machina reassured her distraught son that the Rangers had ruined all of their monsters.

Personality

Bucket of Bolts is an extremely overconfident and arrogant monster who constantly beats and belittles his enemies. However, he is also shown to be cowardly; trying to flee when the Zeo Megazord was unfazed by his energy blasts which led to his death.

Powers and Abilities

• Strength: Bucket of Bolts was able to knock around the Zeo Megazord with single swipes from his bare hands.
  • Headbutt: Bucket of Bolts was able to knock back the Zeo Megazord with a powerful head-butt.
• Depth Perception: Bucket of Bolts has depth perception despite only having one eye.
• Speech: Bucket of Bolts can speak despite lacking a mouth.
• Eye Blasts: Bucket of Bolts can spray powerful blue energy from his single eye capable of causing large explosions and knocking down the Zeo Rangers but are completely ineffective against the Zeo Megazord.
• Train Transformation: Bucket of Bolts was able to transform into a more train-like form for a quicker escape.
