| ~ Bucky Pasteur |
Bucky Pasteur is a supporting character in the 2006 video game Bully, serving as a supporting character in the fourth chapter and a supporting antagonist in the fifth chapter. He is a student at Bullworth Academy and one of the member of the Nerds clique.
He was voiced by Tim Wersan.
Appearance[]
Bucky is a slender nerd, slightly taller than Jimmy, characterized by his disheveled light brown hair, parted down the middle. He sports brown eyes, distinctive buck teeth, and oval lens glasses. Like his fellow Nerds, he dons the astronomy club vest and brown slacks, the latter adorned with a patch over the knee. During the winter months, he accessorizes with a green and yellow knit cap featuring a puffball on top. Notably, he wears three watches, two on his left wrist and one on his right, which he humorously attributes to his "sense of timing."
Personality[]
Bucky embodies the quintessential "socially awkward oddball" nerd archetype. He speaks in a loud nasal voice, occasionally punctuated by peculiar inflections. While he clumsily employs slang, his usage is more accurate than that of Algie, suggesting a keen but awkward grasp of colloquial language. Despite his nerdy disposition, Bucky openly expresses a desire to be physically imposing like a Jock rather than a Nerd. His feelings toward girls are ambivalent; while he still jokes about "cooties" and claims disinterest in having a girlfriend, he also laments his single status and expresses a desire for companionship in the future. He associates Mandy with "cooties" but finds the Bearded Woman intriguing, showcasing his conflicted attitudes toward romance.
In terms of academics, Bucky struggles more than typical Nerds. He considers a C grade in English satisfactory, yet boasts of his potential to excel if he applied himself in Math. Interestingly, deleted dialogue suggests Bucky regularly achieves A+ grades in Chemistry and even identifies errors made by Dr. Watts during lectures.
Bucky shares a close bond with his grandmother, often mentioning her in his dialogue. She is depicted as intelligent but increasingly senile, known for hoarding cats. Despite spoiling Bucky, he also assumes caretaking responsibilities for her, including assisting with bathing and managing her dentures. The reason for Bucky's enrollment at Bullworth and his living arrangements with his Grandmother remain unclear, as his parents are never mentioned. It is speculated that his parents may have neglected him, leading him to reside with his Grandmother and subsequently attend Bullworth.
Additionally, Bucky had a pet rat named George, who mysteriously disappeared around Halloween. He addresses Jimmy as "Jim," a unique moniker among Bullworth residents.
Biography[]
In Chapter 1, Algie enlists Jimmy's help to rescue Bucky, who had ventured to the autoshop for science experiment parts and was feared to have been targeted by the Bullies. Jimmy successfully rescues Bucky, and in gratitude, Bucky gifts him a skateboard.
In Chapter 3, Bucky participates solely in the Nerd Challenge, challenging Jimmy to surpass Fatty's ConSumo High Score. Upon Jimmy's victory, Bucky rewards him with a bottle rocket launcher.
Chapter 4 sees Bucky involved in the mission "Funhouse Fun," where he and Fatty attempt to take control of the Carnival's funhouse to taunt the Jocks. Their plan goes awry when the Jocks discover them, prompting Jimmy to intervene, rescue them, and aid their escape. Later, during "The Big Game," Bucky provides Jimmy with an explosive-rigged football to prank the Jocks.
During the school-wide chaos of "Complete Mayhem," Bucky collaborates with Earnest and Donald in vandalizing the gym.
Additionally, Bucky participates on the Nerds Dodgeball team, showcasing his involvement in school activities beyond mere academic pursuits.
