~ The Budoh Majin Mob's usual claim before growing giant. |
The Sambash Majin Gang were the samurai and sea life-themed organisation within the Space Pirates Balban under the leadership of Budoh, the ones responsible for the Gingamen gaining the Lights of Ginga and major antagonists in Seijuu Sentai Gingaman. They served as the main antagonists between the 13th and 24th episodes as well as supporting antagonists in Seijuu Sentai Gingaman vs Megaranger.
As with all of the other Majin in Gingaman, if they survived for long enough, the Budoh Majin Gang would pull out gourd shaped containers full of Balban X. Drinking it would cause an unknown chemical process in thier bodies which would make them grow giant but would shorten thier lifespans so it was usually only used as a last resort.
History[]
Budoh joined the Balban three thousand years ago when they were formed by Captain Zahab to destroy planets for Daitanix to eat and turn into Planet Life Jewels. Budoh quickly grew through the ranks and established his own gang of samurai and ninja-themed Majin. The Budoh Majin Gang were successful in helping the Balban in thier mission but was sealed away with the rest of the Balban when the original Gingamen defeated Zahab on Earth and placed a seal over them.
In 1997, the seal over the Balban is broken by a mysterious earthquake and they return to being active threats but Daitanix's seal remains intact which forces the Balban to focus on ways to revive him with Zahab offering a massive fortune as a reward to whoever managed to succeed. This causes the Balban generals to start competing using thier separate Majin Corps but, before they start deploying monsters though, Captain Zahab leads them on an attack with the Seamen Yartots only to be intercepted by the new generation of the Gingamen. With the new threat, Zahab has to select a general to bring down the Gingamen so the generals present thier top monsters to try and impress Zahab with Budoh summoning Komuhachi. However, the general is ultimately decided by a game of poker with Sambash being chosen as the winner when he pulls a joker.
After Sambash is killed whilst fighting the Gingamen, Budoh is selected to be the main general much to Iliess' frustration and continues Sambash's mission to find the Lights of Ginga so they can use the power to revive Daitanix. He first sends Komuhachi to infect trees with mold using shakuhachi to draw out the Lights but this fails so he then sends Fudasoushou to destroy camera that may contain the Lights, Kemuemon to smoke out the Lights, Amehoshi to conduct a ceremony to draw them out, Kugutsudayuu to possess people and destroy buildings to draw them out and Kairikibou to destroy a rock that may contain them. However, that scheme resulted in the emergence of Kurokishi Bullblack so he deploys four of his most powerful Majin; the Four Mob Shoguns. The first sent is Sunabakutou who helped kill Bullblack's son Krantz long ago but is swiftly killed despite defeating GingaiOh so Budoh sends Hyoudogasa to send all humans to sleep and draw out the Lights, and then Houretsudou as he believes the Lights of Ginga are in food.
Although all of these plans fail, the Budoh Majin Mob finally locate the Lights of Ginga with the very powerful Dotoumusha who manages to completely decimate the Gingamen and claim them for Budoh. Although Zahab congraulates and promises to promote him, a bitter Iliess and Bucrates work together to undermine him. Using Medoumedou, they trick him into absorbing the Lights for himself and are able to convince Zahab that Budoh is planning to overthrow him which gets the samurai general thrown in jail whilst the Gingaman manage to claim the Lights of Ginga and kill Dotoumusha. Although the Balban believe Budoh will commit seppuku, he is instead saved by his final two Majin Onimaru and Yamimaru which leads to him planning to kill the Gingamen and claim the Lights to prove his loyalty. When Medoumedou reveals the lie though, he kills her and enters a final battle against the Gingamen only to be killed by Ryouma. Shocked, Onimaru and Yamimaru grow giant in an attempt to avenge him but are killed by the new Super Armor Shine Gingaioh and that was the end of the Budoh Majin Mob.
Despite choosing Iliess as the next general of the Balban, Zahab is well aware of her treachery towards Budoh and later prevents Bucrates from resurrecting the sorceress after her own death and then throws him overboard.
During the celebrations after the death of Daitanix, Ryouma recalls breaking Budoh's sword and killing him as the Gingamen recount thier adventures to Moak. When the Gingamen also begin to have trouble remembering some of their other battles, Moak steps in and recounts their battles against Budoh and his Majin.
Budoh, Komuhachi, Kemuemon Kairikibou and Onimaru and Yamimaru are later resurrected along with the rest of the Balban leaders and many other Majin by Captain Gregory as part of his plan to resurrect the Balban. However, he is killed for good by the Galactic Flash.
Trivia[]
- When the Majin were adapted into Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, most of them served Budoh's counterpart Treacheron but Kemuemon instead served Furio (who served Sambash's purpose) and Houretsudou and Komuhacki were made into independent hit-men working for Deviot/Biznella.
- Amehoshi was not adapted into Power Rangers Lost Galaxy because of his very Japanese appearance and ceremony.
