Buffalo Doubler (バッファローダブラー Baffarō Daburā) is a minor antagonist of Uchuu Keiji Gavan who appears in episode 42. It is a buffalo/stag beetle-like Doubler who is the final monster that Gavan encounters and battled with. It is also responsible for Den Iga's transformation as Space Sheriff Sharivan, as he was being taken to be healed from poisoning in Planet Bird and later became a Space Sheriff as of the next series.
It was voiced by late Eisuke Yoda, who also voiced Volcano Mask General Magman in Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, Shine in J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai, Führer Taboo in Dai Sentai Goggle V, and Lu-Long, Parchis, Demost and Silver Shark in Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya.
Biography[]
While a young forest ranger named Den Iga is fighting against the group of poachers, the Buffalo Doubler suddenly appears and brutally attacked him. After causing Den to fall off the tree by unleashing its electrical surges on it, the Doubler mortally wounded him on his left arm and then beating him up unconcious which led to Den was washed up in a river until Retsu founds him and taking him to Dolgiran to take him to Planet Bird to heal him from being poisoned.
After Retsu transforming into Gavan, he went to fought against the Doubler until they're dragged into Makuu Space. The Doubler gained the upperhand on Gavan before leading the fighters to fire at him, which Gavan had to call upon Dol for a backup. The Doubler then transformed into a ball to rush attack on Gavan, for which he had to call upon Gravion to fire at it. Gavan then unleashed Dimension Bomber on the Doubler before they're having a swordfight. Finally, Gavan finished the Doubler off with Gavan Dynamic.
