Kinnikuman and Robin Mask say 10,000,000 power isn't a big deal? Hmph... Let's see if those insignificant heroes can survive my wrath.
~ Buffaloman
Hahahaha!! At last, your final moments have come, Kinnikuman! I've entered the ring to take everything from you! Your belt, Meat and your Kinniku Buster!
~ Buffaloman as he's about to fight Kinnikuman.

Buffaloman is a major antagonist turned hero turned antagonist from the anime/manga series Kinnikuman.

He first appears as the main antagonist of the Seven Devil Chojin Arc before becoming a hero near the end of the Golden Mask Arc and would turn back to being an antagonist at the beginning of Kinnikuman (2011).

In Japanese, during the first Kinnikuman anime, Buffaloman would be voiced by Masaharu Satou who also voiced Ivan Dreyar in Fairy Tail.

During the first twenty-three episodes of the Scramble for the Throne season, Buffaloman would be voiced by Kazuo Oka who also voiced Storm Owl and Frost Walrus in Megaman X4.

For the rest of the Scramble for the Throne season, Buffaloman would be voiced by Juji Matsuda who also voiced Ryuichi Takaoka in Tokkyuu Shirei Solbrain.

In the English dub for Kinnikuman Nisei, Buffaloman would be voiced by Dan Green who also voiced Mephiles the Dark in the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

In the Perfect Origin Arc, Buffaloman would be voiced by Hiroki Yasumoto who also voiced Raven in Guilty Gear and Goenitz in King of Fighters for Girls.

Personality[]

When Buffaloman was first introduced in the series, he was incredibly cruel and brutal to the point that his level of brutality is considered to be on an entirely different level from Warsman and Ramenman who brutally murder anyone they fight.

Buffaloman wants to be known across the world as the strongest, wanting to be proven to be stronger than all Justice Chojin. Buffaloman wants to personally murder the Justice Chojin, with each kill that Buffaloman does, a wave of evil envelopes his entire body, letting him know, even on a subconscious level, just how evil the act of murder is which he thoroughly enjoys.

After Buffaloman fought against Kinnikuman, he gained a level of respect for other Chojin, wanting nothing more than a fair and reasonable fight to the point that he was willing to fight against Akuma Shogun to help Kinnikuman.

Buffaloman is one of the few Devil Chojin to be seen that have a level of patriotism to his home country, that being Spain, with him considering it to be his home and even getting angry when Psychoman goes out of his way to destroy the Sagrada Família, a Spanish monument.

Once Buffaloman returned to being a Devil Chojin, he was extremely loyal to the faction being willing to sacrifice his life as penance for his betrayal of the faction and was insistent to fight Strong the Budo in The Mountain's place because he felt Strong the Budo was too strong for The Mountain and would rather die instead of letting The Mountain die.

Apperance[]

Buffaloman is an incredibly tall and muscular humanoid person who has white spikes sticking out of Buffaloman's knees, a large number of scars across his entire body, clear white eyes with no pupils and curly black hair (Brown hair in the anime adaptation). Buffaloman wears very little clothing, only wearing black shorts, black arm and leg guards and red gloves and boots.

When Buffaoman is being possessed by Satan, his skin color turns purple and Satan's shadowy form appears on his chest.

When Buffaloman is teaming up with Ramenman as the 20 Million Power tag team, Buffaloman has a harness that goes around his chest which has a shoulder pad that has a silver Japanese character on it with the character being "猛" or "Jōyō" which translates to "Fierce" in English.

Relationships[]

Allies[]

Justice Chojin[]

Kinnikuman[]

When Buffaloman first met Kinnikuman, he saw him as a pathetic weakling, someone who was the perfect example of how pathetic the Justice Chojin seeing that someone as dumb and weak as Kinnikuman being the two-time champion of the Chojin Olympics, meaning that he is the peak of the Justice Chojin world.

After seeing Kinnikuman beat multiple members of the Seven Devil Chojin, he began to see Kinnikuman as a threat and would take him seriously, willing to put all of his efforts into killing Kinnikuman.

During their fight, due to Kinnikuman's fair fighting style, Buffaloman would offer Kinnikuman a fair fight, something Buffaloman wanted to do because he just enjoyed fighting Kinnikuman. When Buffaloman lost to Kinnikuman, he saved Meat and promised Kinnikuman that they would have a rematch one day, even though he knew that his loss at the hands of the Justice Chojin would mean that other Devil Chojin would kill him.

Ramenman[]
Brocken Jr.[]

Because of their time working with Ataru Kinniku, Buffaloman understands Brocken Jr. more than any other Justice Chojin, including Ramenman.

Buffaloman fully understands Brocken Jr.'s strengths and abilities as well as his desire to show off how strong he is in a battle.

When Buffaloman was going to fight Psychoman, Brocken Jr. offered to fight him instead so Buffaloman could fight Ganman, something Buffaloman wanted to do but couldn't stand the idea of Psychoman escaping so Brocken Jr., someone who Buffaloman fully trust the abilities and power of, offering to fight Psychoman made Buffaloman feel better.

Ataru Kinniku[]

Devil Chojin[]

Akuma Shogun[]

Being a Devil Chojin, Buffaloman naturally serves and worships Akuma Shogun as his master and is willing to fight and die for him.

While Buffaloman felt conflicted about his loyalties to both the Justice Chojin and Devil Chojin, when Akuma Shogun told Buffaloman that he doesn't have to serve him to be a Devil Chojin, he just needs to fight with his full might, this cleared up Buffaloman's conflicted feelings, allowing him to fight at his full power.

Springman[]

Springman: Ho-Hopeless? Don't make me laugh... I'd gladly dedicate any life left in me to keep on fighting! Even if I have to rip off this goddamn technique from my pal's former partner! Because that's what makes a Devil Chojin!

Buffaloman: You got that right, Springman. That's the rule we Devils gotta follow. I'll ride you with 'till the very end!

~ Buffaloman and Springman using the Longhorn Train against Turboman.

Out of all of the members of the Seven Devil Chojin, Buffaloman is the closest to Springman, the two acting as a tag team for two separate fights, once against Kinnikuman and Ramenman and another time against Turboman and Grim Reaper, because of the level of teamwork that tag teams need to function properly, Springman and Buffaloman would need to trust each other immensely.

When Buffaloman made a tag team with Ramenman, this would anger Springman, making him think that he tricked him personally, however, Buffaloman only used his tag team with Ramenman to become a better partner for Springman when the two would team up again.

Springman: N-Next time, when I'm reborn... I hope I get to be a brand spankin' new toy Chojin... And I get to tag with ya again...

Buffaloman: Come on, don't put yourself down like that. Your spring body was what made you perfect!

Springman: A-Alright... Then it's a promise... We'll tag team again... Guhah!

Buffaloman: Come on, man, don't talk. Save your strength...

Springman: Ke... Kekeh... Well, I'll leave the rest... to you... our awesome... Ca... Captain...

Buffaloman: SPRINGMAN!

~ Springman's final moments.

When Springman's body started to fall apart, Buffaloman started to worry for Springman's life, however, Springman lied to Buffaloman to prevent him from valuing Springman's life over their mission. While Springman's body started to crumble, Buffaloman kept trying to convince both himself and Springman that he would survive, telling Springman that they would team up again later up until Springman died.

Once Springman died after beating Turboman and Grim Reaper, Buffaloman would mourn his death and even carry Springman's head more a while after his death.

Black Hole[]
The Mountain[]
Mountain... You were a true man and compatriot. Your sacrifice will not be wasted.
~ Buffaloman after seeing The Mountain die trying to kill Strong the Budo.

When Buffaloman returned to being a member of the Seven Devil Chojin, he offered to fight Strong the Budo in The Mountain's place, not wanting him to die by fighting in a match that Buffaloman thinks is meant for a sacrificial pawn, however, The Moutain knows that Akuma Shogun places more value in Buffaloman than he does him so he chooses to fight Strong the Budo. The only thing he wishes Buffaloman to do is to watch the entire fight to the end, even if it means watching The Mountain die in a one-sided match.

During this match, Buffaloman's resolve would begin to break, he started to yell out to The Mountain to give up so he can survive the match before remembering The Mountain's request and continuing to watch the fight, making sure to never look away.

When The Mountain was killed, Buffaloman made sure to salute him for his hard-fought match while praising him for being a true Devil.

Sneagator[]

As Buffaloman's teacher, Buffaloman has a lot of respect for Sneagator, willing to do anything in his power to follow his orders as best as he could, something that Sneagator took notice of. Buffaloman and Black Hole would be the only members of the Seven Devil Chojin to impress Sneagator's high standards as the two would always succeed at tasks the other five Devil Chojin would fail at.

After Sneagator was killed by Ganman, Buffaloman wanted to personally avenge his death as a way to succeed his master, proving to him and the world that Sneagator's training wasn't wasted.

Enemies[]

Perfect Chojin[]

Ganman[]

Because Ganman murdered Sneagator, Buffaloman wishes to kill Ganman to avenge him.

Buffaloman's hatred of Ganman grew as he told Buffaloman that he only remembers Chojin whom he considers to be strong and as such, he has completely forgotten about Sneagator, something that Buffaloman hates because it means Ganman completely forgot about Sneagator's final fight where he put all of his efforts and might into.

Psychoman[]

Buffaloman has an intense hatred of Psychoman. When he saw Psychoman belittle Turboman and tear apart his body to get his Earth Unit, Buffaloman would yell at him, asking him why he would harm his partner after he died.

After Psychoman revealed that he survived his fight with Buffaloman and destroyed the Sagrada Família, Buffaloman became even more infuriated with him, wanting to kill him personally, even putting him ahead of killing Ganman to avenge Sneagator's death.

Biography[]

Past[]

Buffaloman was originally a Justice Chojin that was a part of the legendary Buffalo Clan, however, when a successor for the clan had to be determined, all of the potential successors would fight each other to the death with Buffaloman being the only survivor, erasing the Buffalo Clan from history.

Buffaloman may have had high power but he was ashamed of his low technique and speed, so he would make a deal with Satan, selling his soul and blood for power, becoming a Devil Chojin and would be trained by the Six Devil Knights until he and the rest of the Seven Devil Chojin were sealed away in space.

Kinnikuman[]

Buffaloman would make his first appearance after Kinnikuman would accidentally free the Seven Devil Chojin and they attack Warsman with Buffaloman using his Devil's Symphony to burst his hearing before the Devil Chojin would try to fight Kinnikuman to prove how powerful they were. When Kinnikuman refused, they attacked Meat, splitting his body into pieces, with Buffaloman getting Meat's torso, which could be brought back together, however, if they stayed apart for 10 days then he would die.

Buffaloman would fight against Warsman with Buffaloman having the obvious advantage in terms of raw strength. All Warsman could do is dodge his opponent's attacks. None of Warsman's attacks could even harm Buffaloman who would prove the power difference between the two by casually breaking one of Warsman's bear claws and almost killing him to intentionally draw out his latent power. Buffaloman would narrowly dodge this powerful move, however, one of his horn was hit, breaking it off.

Buffaloman would then repeatedly charge into Warsman, knocking him into the air over and over again before letting him crash into the ground. Warsman stood up again but died moments later, his body left standing there. Buffaloman commended his opponent before leaving.

Once all of the first day's matches were over, Buffaloman would call Kinnikuman and try to bargain with him, agreeing to give back Meat's body in exchange for the Chojin Olympics Belt. Kinnikuman initially agreed, however, after being convinced that giving the belt would make Robin Mask, Warsman and Wolfman's death meaningless, Kinnikuman refused.

Buffaloman would watch Kinnikuman's battle against Atlantis and order Kinnikuman to finish up with the Kinniku Buster, mocking him into doing so. Once Buffaloman watched the technique, he knew how to beat it once the two of them fought each other.

Buffaloman would next fight in a tag team match with Springman against Kinnikuman and Mongolman. Buffaloman revealed that he strapped the two remaining pieces of Meat's body onto a large electronic device that will shock his remaining body parts after 30 minutes and an hour passed.

Mongolman would manage to defeat Springman and save one of the Meat's body parts before leaving Kinnikuman and Buffaloman to fight each other. The two would fight with Buffaloman holding the raw power advantage and the tactical advantage with him being able to reverse Kinnikuman's Kinniku Buster.

Kinnikuman tried to reverse Buffaloman's reversal, however, he couldn't and tried to run but was caught and thrown back into the ring by Buffaloman would try to impale Kinnikuman on his horn, however, Buffaloman accidentally used the horn that Warsman cut off, saving Kinnikuman. It was soon that Kinnikuman would learn that Buffaloman's head was weak and would repeatedly attack it with his own head.

Buffaloman would go berserk and slam his head against the corner post of the ring to increase his head's durability. It was at this point that Buffaloman revealed that he sold his soul to the devil and would rip his outer skin off to show all of the scars on his body. Buffaloman would then use Scar Transfer, moving all of his scars into his horn to make it grow in length before attacking Kinnikuman giving him a large number of scars all over his body.

Kinnikuman stood up and finally landed a good hit on Buffaloman but it wasn't enough to stop him with Buffaloman throwing Kinnikuman and accidentally knocking Kinnikuman's mask up, making him unable to see. Buffaloman then kicked Kinnikuman, setting his mask back in place to help him. The two would continue to fight with Kinnikuman using a version of the Kinniku Buster which slams Buffaloman against the ceiling.

The two stood up after their fall, helping each other up and shaking hands but Satan would appear, possessing Buffaloman's body and making him fight with full brutality to fight against. In order to free Buffaloman, Kinnikuman had to break off his horn and tried to do so, however, he would get beaten and forced to use Burning Inner Strength. This intimidated Buffaloman who knew absorbing his life force would surely kill him, however, Satan forced him to do so and so Buffaloman stabbed Kinnikuman with his horn, absorbing his life force before getting set on fire.

Buffaloman would quickly send the life force back into Kinnikuman to save his life which gave Kinnikuman enough time to use his Kinniku Buster, winning the match. Kinnikuman quickly ran over to save Meat's head but Buffaloman threw his horn to shatter its container before it shocked his body part, in exchange all of Buffaloman's wounds opened up.

Buffaloman walked off, promising that he would reunite with Kinnikuman if he survived Satan's punishment, however, he couldn't so Buffaloman used his power to revive Warsman, Robin Mask and Wolfman before dying.

At the beginning of the Golden Mask Arc, it is revealed that Buffaloman alongside the Seven Devil Chojin had their heads ripped off as punishment for failing to beat the Justice Chojin.

Buffaloman would be revived by Akuma Shogun in order to serve him, however, after Ashuraman lost and was killed by Akuma Shogun who absorbed him into his armor, Buffaloman turned against Akuma Shogun, only wanting to see and fight in fair fights. Buffaloman would fight against Akuma Shogun to give Kinnikuman enough time to master his Kinniku Driver. While Kinnikuman was fighting against Akuma Shogun who didn't have a physical body, Buffaloman decided to wear the Golden Mask to become Akuma Shogun's body so Kinnikuman could use the Kinniku Driver to win the match.

After this, Buffaloman would remain an ally of Kinnikuman until Kinnikuman (2011).

Kinnikuman (2011)[]

After the Six Devil Knights had finished their fights, all of the surviving Devil Chojin regrouped with Akuma Shogun at Japan's National Stadium where the Unforgivable Yggdrasil had sprouted up again to fight against the remaining members of the Perfect Chojin who would set up for their next fight with Buffaloman going to fight against Ganman to avenge Sneagator's death.

Buffaloman and Ganman charged their horns into each other repeatedly, trying to see which of the two were stronger until Ganman used his elk horns to grab Buffaloman's head and slam it down onto the corner post. Buffaloman turned around and kicked Ganman in the head before he climbed onto the corner post and leapt at Ganman who caught him and threw him to the mat before leaping on him, the two locking hands.

Ganman then mocked Buffaloman, stating that he was far weaker than Ganman expected as he lifted Buffaloman up and threw him behind him. Buffaloman then said he would kill Ganman for Sneagator, however, Ganman couldn't remember him despite fighting him a few hours ago, stating that he doesn't remember any "Inferior Chojin" that he has killed and that the only "Inferior Chojin" he will remember is the one that bests him in battle. This enraged Buffaloman, who couldn't believe that Ganman simply forgot Sneagator's final moments.

Buffaloman powered up before charging at Ganman while using Scar Transfer to make his horn grow which he uses to stab into his shoulder before flinging him into the air and delivering a clothesline when he fell to the ground. Ganman quickly retaliated by grabbing Buffaloman's arm and throwing him over his shoulder and kicking him in the stomach.

Buffaloman then went dug the ring and stuck his horn out from under the mat to stab Ganman with it using the mat to prevent his Cyclops ability to read his next moves, cutting his legs. Ganman then laid on the ring so he could hear Buffaloman's breathing, using it to dodge his next attack and letting him grab the horn so he could pull him out of the mat, throwing him into the air and crushing him with his elk horns and power bombing him to the ground, making him retract his Scar Transfer.

Once again, Ganman was disappointed in Buffaloman, making him slightly remember his fight against Sneagator but not his name, Ganman then used his Cyclops ability and began to ask why Buffaloman was holding back.

Buffaloman stood up and charged at Ganman who caught his horns and used a piledriver to slam him to the ground before turning to Akuma Shogun and asking him why he didn't notice that Buffaloman was holding back, not wanting to use his true nature in a fight, despite it making him half as strong as he normally is.

Just as Ganman lifted Buffaloman up over his shoulder, Kinnikuman spoke up, saying that the fear that Buffaloman instilled in him was gone. Buffaloman was torn between his time as a Justice Chojin and him being a Devil Chojin. Then Akuma Shogun spoke up, asking Buffaloman why he rejoined the Devil Chojin while stating that Akuma Shogun fully believes in Buffaloman's strength that could surpass the Gods.

The encouragement was enough to let Buffaloman power up, breaking free from Ganman's grip and slamming him into the ground. The two locked fists, Ganman beginning to see Buffaloman as a threat and the two started to rapidly punch each other, however, this power boost made Buffaloman's wounds open, giving him a limited time to end Ganman.

Ganman pinned Buffaloman to the ground, saying that he probably won't make it to the end of the match while bleeding so much. Buffaloman responded by charging at him but Ganman dodged and grabbed onto Buffaloman's head, chopping off one of his horns with his bare hand before repeatedly elbowing his weak head. Buffaloman then grabbed his elbow and tossed him aside and tried kicking him but Ganman caught it and hit his head with his elk horn before punching Buffaloman over and over again, nearly knocking him out and making his vision blur.

Despite the bad situation he was in, Buffaloman was excited to fight a strong opponent and to fix his eye, he punched one of them, making it useless but increasing his other eye. The two clash again, stating that they were thoroughly enjoying their fight with Ganman wanting to see Buffaloman's full power, saying that he wants to fight a pure battle with no lies or win a fight against someone who could have won but didn't because they didn't go all out.

Buffaloman then asks if Ganman hates lies then why doesn't he use his Cyclops ability on The Man. Ganman refuses, choosing to believe in The Man as he throws Buffaloman into the air and crushes him in between his elk horns and throwing him to the ground. Ganman kept getting increasingly irritated by Buffaloman implying that The Man was lying and decided to spin his horns around, intending to use them to slice him up but Buffaloman's horn bounced him off and toward the corner post which he used to fling himself around the ring over and over again and forcing Ganman to use his Cyclops ability on The Man.

Ganman closed his eyes quickly before realising that Buffaloman used the opportunity to launch himself at him, Buffaloman's horn shattering Ganman's elk horns, falling to the ground head first and being knocked out, letting Buffaloman win the match.

As Ganman lay on the mat, he thought back to the past and all the good times when the Perfect Origin was one group. He then turned to Buffaloman and said he won because he fought without any lies while Ganman was deceiving himself into trusting The Man. Ganman used the last of his strength to say he remembered Buffaloman's name and to hand him his dumbbell before dying.

The impressive feat of defeating a member of the Perfect Origin earned Buffaloman the respect of the crowd and of Akuma Shogun who personally saluted him. When Akuma Shogun was telekinetically lifting up the dumbbells to be used in the Dial to erase all of the Perfect Origin, Buffaloman throws it to him as soon as he could, choosing to believe in his master's decision.

Buffaloman would personally watch both the matches between Kinnikuman and Nemesis and The Man and Akuma Shogun. Once those matches were over, Buffaloman would follow Akuma Shogun's lead back to the Demon World, promising that he and the Devil Chojin will fight against the Justice Chojin to seize control over the world.

During the Omega Centauri's Six Spears Arc, because of Satan's power, Buffaloman and the rest of the Devil Chojin would be trapped inside of their palace as the Omega Centauri's Six Spears attacked the world above. Buffaloman would eventually be freed when the Choshin invaded, wanting to stop them from gaining the Capillera Pieces and killing all Chojin.

Quote[]

Kinnikuman[]

We have taken Meat hostage and separated his body into seven pieces. Each one of us will hold one part. If you want Meat back that badly, you must defeat all seven of us within ten days.
~ Buffaloman using Meat's body as a hostage against Kinnikuman

Don't be too hard on him, Black Hole. Stecasse King may be the weakest of us Devil Chojin... But look at the damage he did to Kinnikuman! I'll say that he did a good job!
~ Buffaloman complimenting Stereo-Cassette King

Heh, so your Power Level's a million, eh? Well then, my Power Level is... 10 million!
~ Buffaloman boasting about his Chojin Power

Buffaloman: Now you know that your moves and techniques are useless against my power!

Warsman: Y-Yes...

Buffaloman: At least you're honest. And to reward that... I'll finish you off right now!

~ Buffaloman ready to kill Warsman

Warsman... You were truly a worthy opponent!
~ Buffaloman after killing Warsman

The results of the team battle was three wins and two losses. The difference in the strength of the Devil and Justice Chojin is clear. Frankly, we feel like we've conquered the good Chojin and thus it's unnecessary to fight Kinnikuman so we will return Meat's body.
~ Buffaloman boasting about the Devil Chojin's wins
Hehe, so for friendship... You choose the path of thorns. But Kinnikuman, remember this, sometimes that friendship of yours... Can be harmful.
~ Buffaloman warning Kinnikuman of their following fights

Springman: It looks like Kinnikuman will seize the win... Hah! Atlantis is pathetic...

Buffaloman: He's actually been very helpful to me! Now, I see what I need to crush Kinnikuman. But there's still one thing I'm not sure about... That's his finishing move, the Kinniku Buster. If he performed it once more, I'll find a way to defeat it...

Kinnikuman: Take this!!

Buffaloman: Don't use that! Finish him off with the Kinniku Buster!

~ Buffaloman thinking of how to beat Kinnikuman during Atlantis' fight

First Wolfman, then Warsman, then Robin Mask and now another Chojin that risked their lives for Kinnikuman has appeared! How does he attract them? This makes me want to defeat him even more!
~ Buffaloman after seeing Mongolman help him

Heh! I only used a fifth of my power, meaning I only used two million power! Basically, I can defeat you techniques while not using my full ten million power level!
~ Buffaloman flexing his immense power

Do you understand now, Kinnikuman? Technique means nothing compared to brute strength! This includes you Kinniku Buster!
~ Buffaloman as he uses his raw strength to beat down Kinnikuman

Kinnikuman (2011)[]

Sorry, but we Devil Chojin don't have that sort of compassion...
~ Buffaloman after slapping Terryman's hand away

My fellow Devil Chojin didn't get into those duel rings set up by the Perfect Chojin just to help out the Justice Chojin. And we're not doing it out of an obligation to punish them for their breach of the "3 Chojin Factions Peace Treaty" either... We're only carrying out the will of out Lord.
~ Buffaloman about why the Devil Chojin are fighting the Perfect Chojin

Aw, don't be like that, Kinnikuman. It's just that you Idol Chojin are too soft and naive. You can't truly fight a war if you can't think ahead of your enemies in battle.
~ Buffaloman about his betrayal back to the Devil Chojin

He did not disappoint... As you'd expect from a Devil chosen by our Lord... He did not die in vain. He died giving it his all to leave those marks on Turboman as they fought...
~ Buffaloman after watching Stereo-Cassette King die while fighting Turboman

Springman: Listen. Us Devils only ever fight on behalf of the boss.

Buffaloman: Exactly! That's why it's our greatest ambition to drown in a sea of blood, fighting for him!

~ Buffaloman and Springman talking about fighting and dying to serve Akuma Shogun

Sorry I'm late. But I already know everything... What faces you'd pull and what you'd all say about my return... But I've mulled it over for quite some time... And I thought that it would be for the best that I return here to fight with you again! I know you might not be all that welcoming to a man who's been gone for so long, but it'll be just like when I was fighting with you guys as a Devil!
~ Buffaloman when he returned to the Seven Devil Chojin

I can imagine how pissed off you lot were at me while you were going through hellish training when I changed sides and joined the Justice Chojin. So... I decided that I would become the sacrifice. It's the least I could do to atone for what I've done...
~ Buffaloman about why he should be the sacrificial pawn instead of The Mountain

Excuse us, Perfect Chojin! You think your 'purge' is so dignified when you're beating up on those wounded Justice Chojin!?
~ Buffaloman as he watches the Perfect Chojin attacking an injured Kinnikuman and Terryman

Oh ho ho... This is interesting... My body's aching to 'murder that creampuff'...
~ Buffaloman, getting excited to kill Grim Reaper

Oh no... I haven't won just yet... Not by a long shot! I might've fulfilled my duty to my lord in our mission to purge all Perfect Chojin... But there's no way in Hell I'm going to let this f*cker get off this lightly! He took it too far! And now he has to pay the price!
~ Buffaloman as he beats on Grim Reaper

Listen, and listen real good, because I'm only going to say this once. These guys are not reasonable. They'll try to kill and destroy everything you hold dear. And it'll only be too late when you'll realise your king heart's what invited your destruction.
~ Buffaloman warning Kinnikuman about his kindness and the Perfect Chojin

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Chojin Physiology: As a Chojin granted strength by Satan, Buffaloman has immense strength, speed and durability far above most other Chojin who already have the ability to perform superhuman feats. Other abilities that Chojin have that Buffaloman likely has is the ability to grow to be as large as a building and the ability to fly without wings or thrusters, even in the vacuum of space.
  • Buffalo Longhorns: On top of Buffaloman's head are a pair of powerful buffalo horns that he uses to stab and impale his opponent with. With these buffalo longhorns, Buffaloman is able to drain the power of his opponents when he stabs them with the longhorns.
  • Scar Transfer: Buffaloman transfers all of the scars on his body onto his horn, increasing its strength and length. It also gives it the ability to absorb the life force of others it stabs, allowing Buffaloman to add to his already insane strength as well as allowing Buffaloman to give an opponent all of the same scars on their body which actually damage them, unlike Buffaloman's scars.
  • Burning Inner Strength: Buffaloman would be the first of the Devil Chojin to tap into the immense power of Burning Inner Strength. Burning Inner Strength is a vast pool of power that can be triggered when a Chojin feels intense amounts of mercy in a fight or has a bond with his opponent, the more the bond and the more mercy they feel toward an opponent, the stronger they will become. Burning Inner Strength makes any Chojin who uses it vastly stronger, more durable and faster, allowing them to beat opponents who would normally be impossible for them to defeat.

Trivia[]

  • Just like most characters in the Kinnikuman franchise, Buffaloman's design was a reader-submitted design with Buffaloman being submitted by Takahisa of Tochigi Prefecture.
  • Despite his name, Buffaloman has qualities that make him Bull themed, notable examples of this include his home country of Spain where bulls are more common than buffalos and the way his horns are pointing outward like a bull's instead of sideways like a buffalo's.
  • Buffaloman's position in the Justice Chojin and Devil Chojin factions in Kinnikuman Nisei and Kinnikuman (2011) is one of the biggest indicators that the two are not canon to each other. In Kinnikuman Nisei, Buffaloman remained a Justice Chojin and is implied to have always been in the organisation without ever going back, however, in Kinnikuman (2011), Buffaloman returns to being a Devil Chojin of his own free will and, as of the time of writing, has stated his intentions to never go back.
  • Before his battle with Akuma Shogun, Buffaloman reveals that his hair is a wig and removes it, the scene is supposed to show that Buffaloman shaved his head after being defeated by Kinnikuman as punishment for being a Devil Chojin, however, this scene was seen as confusing to readers of the manga so in the anime adaptation, the idea of Buffaloman having a wig was removed.
  • It has been stated by the author of Kinnikuman, Yudetamago, that Buffaloman's body was modelled after real-world wrestler Bruiser Brody. Another way that Buffaloman is similar to Bruiser Brody is that the two are always placed in tag teams with far smaller allies such as Springman and Ramenman.
  • When the toy line of Kinnikuman came over to the West, renamed as M.U.S.C.L.E., Buffaloman would be one of the only characters to be named with him being renamed into Terri-Bull, leader of the villainous Cosmic Crunchers.
  • Buffaloman, alongside Kinnikuman, Terryman, Warsman and Robin Mask, appeared in the one-chapter crossover comic with KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops where he is apprehended by the Tokyo police for using a part of a shrine as a weight to train with as well as his lack of clothing.
  • According to the fourth Kinnikuman movie, Counterattack! The Underground Space Chojin, Buffaloman's favorite thing in the world are buffalo.
  • In the second Kinnikuman movie, Great Riot! Justice Chojin, Buffaloman's change to the Justice Chojin side is depicted in a manner far different from what the anime and manga show despite the fact that later movies outright confirm that the Golden Mask arc, the arc where Buffaloman becomes a Justice Chojin, actually did happen.
  • In the dub of Kinnikuman Nisei, Dan Green gave Buffaloman a thick Russian accent and often exclaims "Bolshevik" despite the fact that Buffaloman is Spanish.
  • When Buffaloman is being imitated by Tel-Tel Boy, instead of having a Spanish or Russian accent, he instead imitates the famous Austrian actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
