“ | It kills everything in its territory, whether they are humans or its own kind. It cares only about itself. It's not a creature that should be allowed to live on this Earth anymore. | „ |
~ Jotaro Kujo on Bug Eaten. |
Bug-Eaten is a minor antagonist from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable. A Stand-using rat, Jotaro and Josuke hunt it and it partner down before they can make more Stand-using rats. Bug-Eaten wields the Stand Ratt.
Biography[]
Bug-Eaten's Stand came to be after Akira Otoishi tested Keicho Nijimura's Stand Arrow on it, granting it a Stand. Taking command over the other rats, Bug-Eaten also attacked two farmers and melded their flesh before making a nest for himself in their drainpipe.
Hunting the supposed one rat down, Jotaro Kujo and Josuke Higashikata both find Bug-Eaten and its partner, with the former managing to successfully damage Jotaro before fleeing. Crossing a nearby field, the heroes follow its path of gnawed plants and urine until reaching the drain pipe, its nest. Setting its own trap for the heroes, Josuke grabs one of his own traps and is hurt by it, but Jotaro stops time to not allow Bug-Eaten to fire one of Ratt's darts.
Walking up the nearby slope to have Ratt fire at them, Jotaro and Josuke use this opportunity to shoot at the animal, and although failing at first, Josuke manages to trick the rat to be distracted to fire a bullet right through it, ending its life.
Powers and Abilities[]
“ | It had a Stand that shot something like needles. I bet if they hit you, they melt your flesh. | „ |
~ Josuke Higashikata on Ratt. |
With Ratt, Bug-Eaten is able to fire acidic darts from afar, melting flesh down to where no basic medicine is known to solve. The melted flesh can be molded into shapes such as cubes, and despite all odds, the targets can remain alive. The darts themselves can be fired from around one-hundred and ninety-seven feet away, and can fire in clumps or bounce off objects for decisive strikes.
Trivia[]
- The Stand "Ratt" is named after an American heavy metal band with the same name.
