Bugs Bunny is the titular main protagonist of the 1949 Looney Tunes short film Rebel Rabbit.
While he is typically the hero in many other episodes where he fights villains like Marvin the Martian, Elmer Fudd & Yosemite Sam, in this short, he is not only rebellious and chaotic, but also the actual villain who wishes to prove that he can be more troublesome, obnoxious and destructive than any other creature alive.
He was voiced by the late Mel Blanc, who famously voiced Bugs in his more heroic appearances.
History[]
In the beginning of the short, Bugs Bunny was overlooking signs that stated the bounties for local animals placed by the U.S. game commissioner. While he was impressed by the bounties for foxes and bears, he becomes shocked that the price for rabbits is merely ¢2. Angered by this, he mails himself to Washington D.C. and goes to the White House to confront the commissioner about this. In response, the commissioner states that animals like foxes and bears have high bounties because they do actual damage while rabbits are relatively harmless. Enraged, Bugs swears to prove that a rabbit (namely himself) can be more dangerous than anyone, human or animal, and then leaves, slamming the door hard enough to make the glass break.
As he storms out of the building, Bugs steals a club from a guard he passes by and hits his knee with it, causing him to writhe in pain, and then shouts "Bugs Bunny was here!" He then draws on a sign for a private park bench reserved for Barney Baruch, writing his own name on it, and also paints a big red stripe around the Washington monument while signing his name on it, proving it was his work. Afterwards, he escapes Washington D.C. and heads to New York, where he infiltrates the Time Square power grid and rearranges the city lights to say "BUGS BUNNY WUZ HERE". He then commits several other crimes across the U.S., such as shutting off Niagara Falls, giving Manhattan back to the Native Americans, and actually sawing off the state of Florida. Not done with his rampage, he then swipes the locks off of Panama Canal, filling up the Grand Canyon, and ties up several railroads. Having had enough of Bugs' crime spree, the officials at D.C. declare Bugs Bunny a menace and have a substantial price placed on his head, with Bugs himself crashing the meeting. Even the army is called into action against the deranged rabbit.
Soon afterwards, Bugs goads over a sign stating a $1,000,000 reward for him. But then his joy quickly turns to panic as the army surrounds him and begins shooting at him. As he ducks into a fox hole, he is surrounded by several artillery shells, and then wonders if he had taken his spree too far right before the shells explode. He is then seen behind bars on Alcatraz Island, serving time for his crimes.

Commissioner: Well, other animals are destructive, harmful, obnoxious to people. They do damage. Bugs: Nyeh, tell me more, Doc. Commissioner: Rabbits are sweet, furry little creatures. They wouldn't harm a hair on your head. Bugs: Eh, get him. Hee hee. He don't know me very well, do he? Commissioner: Rabbits are perfectly harmless, and the bounty stands at two cents! Bugs: Oh, yeah?! [grabs a pen, and sprays the Commissioner with ink, then proceeds to repeatedly slash the pen across his face] Well, I'll show you a rabbit can be more obnoxious than anybody!
