Appearance[]

Buncle appears to be a anthropomorphic morbidly obese wombat with a eyepatch on his right eye, brown fur, a black nose and some scars on his left cheek. He wears a dark brown hat, torn light blue t-shirt, a brown suspender connected to a navy blue and yellow cloak, green shorts and black boots.

On his youth. Buncle was slim, he wears a navy blue and aquamarine sailor hat, a yellow and turquoise uniform with some blue overalls.

Biography[]

Buncle used to be a sailor on the ship of Bill Barnacle and Sam the Emperor penguin, serving as the chef. Despite his position, he never showed any genuine care for his friends' nourishment, which caused many conflicts between them. The breaking point came when they got lost in the southern ocean, trapped in a heavy blizzard. Buncle invested his energy in baking a cake for himself using the gradually perishing coal, draining the ship's fuel in the process.

The trio got stranded on an iceberg, freezing and hoping for a miracle. While Bill and Sam looked for ways to survive, Buncle kept thinking about vegetable pie. His hunger led him to attempt to eat Sam. Bill struggled to keep Buncle at bay, only succeeding to do so thanks to the sudden arrival of a pudding, bursting out of the ice. The pudding was revealed as magical and sentient, able to talk and even naming himself, replenishing every time he gets eaten, and urged the group to eat him. Buncle was excited from the idea of having a never-ending pudding for the rest of his life, and took the pudding all to himself, although there was enough for everyone. However, his joy was short-lived, as the iceberg collapsed under his feet into the ocean. Buncle survived the fall and became obsessed about obtaining the pudding.

Many years after the incident at Antarctica, Buncle came to Australia in unknown ways, and gathered many reptiles as his personal army. Using his new reptilian army, Buncle took over a great portion of Australia and abducted many animals in order to force them to mine food for him.

Upon hearing about Bill and Sam's arrival in Australia, Buncle sent two pudding thieves, one of them being his nephew, under the threat of throwing them into the food mines. As time went by, and the pudding thieves had little success, Buncle grew impatient. His increasing hunger led him to consider eating some of the slaves.

His plan to eat the slaves came to a halt only due to the interference of Bill and Sam, aided by a young koala named Bunyip Bluegum, whose parents were among Buncle's slaves. Albert, the magic pudding, confronted Buncle and attempted to distract him as part of the rescuing mission. Buncle's signature victory laughter upon meeting triggered Bill and Sam's memories, which caused to realize that they are facing Buncle once again. After bailing out the former slaves, Bill, Sam and Bunyip tricked Buncle into demanding Albert to multiply, eventually turning him into a grotesque monster. Buncle fell into Albert's mouth, but he pushes onto his uvula that thrown off him to Antarctica like a slingshot. Where he was last seen stranded in a iceberg.
