“ | Aw, I was only trying to protect our friendship, Jeffy! Remember? We're best friends forever... AND EVER... | „ |
~ Bunghole telling Jeffy that he wants to secure their friendship permanently. |
Bunghole is a minor antagonist of the SML series, serving as the main antagonist of Jeffy's Imaginary Friend.
He was Jeffy's imaginary friend who took schadenfreude on harming and killing others, and manipulated his creator into committing unlawful acts against his will.
He is portrayed by Anthony Miller, who also portrayed various other characters in the same series.
Appearance[]
Bunghole is a blue furry monster. He has a green furry stomach and hair, nose, and eyes. When he opens his mouth, a set of teeth are seen on his lower jaw.
Personality[]
Bunghole is initially viewed as a cheery and happy-go-lucky imaginary friend for Jeffy. However, his true persona is that he is a remorseless, sadistic, and manipulative figure, inciting Jeffy to commit several acts of attempted murder against his will, and took pleasure when Jeffy threw his chair at Jackie Chu under his commands.
His voice also shifts, as he has a bubbly voice when happy, and a deep voice when sadistic or manipulative.
Biography[]
During a school session, Jackie Chu assigns the students into groups of two to work on a project together, with Jeffy being the only one not having a friend to work with. In response, Jackie Chu gives him an extra can of Play-Doh to work with. At home, Jeffy sculpts an imaginary friend with his Play-Doh and named him Bunghole, leading to his creation coming to life and announcing that they are going to be best friends forever.
Unfortunately, when Jeffy talks to Bunghole in front of others, nobody can see his imaginary friend and making Jeffy look insane when talking to somebody non-existent. After Marvin calls Brooklyn Guy over to get rid of Bunghole to no avail, Bunghole states that Jeffy's dad tried to get rid of him, and enacts a revenge plan to kill him. He manipulates Jeffy into tossing his plate of green beans at Marvin, leaving him to miss and get Jeffy grounded as a result. In Jeffy's crib, Jeffy tells Bunghole that he got him in trouble, before the imaginary friend states he only incited him to do that so he can protect their relationship, before both go to bed for the school day tomorrow.
At school the next day, Jeffy tries to present Bunghole as his project to Jackie Chu, but because the teacher can't see him, he fails Jeffy for not bringing anything physically in to show. Bunghole is shocked when Jeffy fails, and manipulates him again to retribute against Jackie Chu by throwing his chair at him. Despite Jeffy's better judgement that he will get in more trouble for assaulting the teacher than failing his project, Bunghole continues to encourage him into misbehaving. Jeffy commits to the unlawful act, much to the shock of the other students, and the amusement of Bunghole.
This causes Jeffy to be arrested, before he explains to Brooklyn Guy and Marive that Bunghole will kill him if he doesn't oblige to his commands. Brooklyn Guy then decides to arrest Bunghole, but because he can't see him, he instead kills his own imaginary friend, Booger. Jeffy then tells Bunghole that he will have to turn himself in to the police for arrest, causing Bunghole to bring out a pistol and attempt to shoot Brooklyn Guy and Marvin. However, his attack has no effect on neither of the men, so Brooklyn Guy decides to bring back Booger so that he can deal with the situation. Brooklyn Guy tells Booger that Bunghole doesn't think he's the man, which aggravates Booger into gunning down Jeffy's imaginary friend, much to the creator's horror and despair.
Trivia[]
- According to Bunghole's actor, Anthony Miller, his normal voice was inspired from the late actor, Gilbert Gottfried.
