Fernando Morales "Bunzo" Yazaki is the mysterious leader of the Red Spade gang and a major antagonist in Tokusou Exceedraft, serving as the main antagonist of episode 3 through episode 8.
He is portrayed by Jyunichi Haruta, who also played Mad Gallant in Kyojuu Tokusou Juspion and Mafuuba in Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya. As a child, he was played by Mamoru Miyano, who would later voice Light Yagami as an adult.
Biography[]
Fernando Morales Yazaki was born as a third generation Japanese immigrant in South America. As a child, he grew up poor and often struggled to find food, but would share any food he found with other children if he had enough. By the time he became an adult however, Yazaki had grown cold-hearted and become a hitman for a drug cartel. He was presumed dead after a confrontation with Interpol investigator Jukichi Katsuragi, where he seemingly perished inside a burning warehouse, but managed to survive, albeit injured.
After having his injuries treated by a back-alley doctor, Bunzo Yazaki, now wheelchair-bound due to his injuries, helped to form the Red Spade, an underworld organization formed from several large criminal gangs joining hands. As leader, Yazaki created a clone of himself to serve as his "number two" and body double while he led the organization in secret, keeping his true identity hidden from even his top subordinates.

Yazaki would first turn his attention to Exceedraft after they thwarted Red Spade's scheme to hold a building hostage to get the police to hand over Red Spade member Bill Iwaki. After Exceedraft caught and arrested Toru Ayabe, a scientist whose research was being backed by Red Spade, Yazaki sent a message to the Exceedraft team revealing Red Spade's existence and vowing to come after them.
Yazaki later put into motion his ultimate plan. As numerous world leaders arrived in Japan for the Earth Summit, Yazaki hatched a plan to use the same cloning technology he had used to create Clone Yazaki to create clones of the world leaders and swap out the real ones for them, giving Red Spade greater influence over the world's affairs. However, after Yazaki discovered he was a clone, he rebelled against the Red Spade and led the Exceedraft team to Red Spade's home base - Yazaki's private villa. Yazaki then decided to show his face and ordered his men to shoot Hayato and Clone Yazaki, but Clone Yazaki gave his life to shield Hayato. The Exceedraft team then stormed the villa and came across Yazaki's laboratory which he used to create the clones. Cornered by Exceedraft, Yazaki took his hat off - revealing the scars from his injuries atop his head - and set his wheelchair to self-destruct, choosing to die rather than be arrested. After Yazaki's demise, the narrator would speculate that the reason Yazaki had done so was because he had realized how evil he had become.
