~ Dr. Scum unleashing the Burgle Balls |
The Burgle Balls are the titular major antagonists of the seventh book in Dav Pilkey's Dog Man series, For Whom the Ball Rolls.
They are a species of robot balls created by Dr. Scum to destroy Dog Man.
Biography[]
One day, Dr. Scum decided to create the Crime Crabs to destroy the world. However, he was worried that they wouldn't be able to destroy Dog Man. However, a news report came from Sarah Hatoff about Dog Man's new fear of balls. This gives Dr. Scum to change the Crime Crabs into the Burgle Balls. After a bit, Dr. Scum finished making the Burgle Balls and unleashed them.
One of the Burgle Balls stole diamonds from Bud's Jewelry Shoppe. Another stole cash from First Bank of Frank. Another stole skateboards from Sk8 "R" Die. One stole candy and gum from Cavity King Candy (and Gum). One stole fake doo-doo and whoopie cushions from Mr. Fun's Jokes 'N' Gags. Dog Man went to try and stop one, but got scared, so he ran to a nearby trash can and hid in it. Then, the Burgle Balls came back to Dr. Scum, who was mad at the things they stole and took them to go back to steal something more age-appropriate.
Meanwhile, Li'l Petey convinces Dog Man to stop hiding and start fighting. He tells him not just to be good, but to do good. Then, 80-HD came, they all put on their costumes, and each scared the Burgle Balls up to the mouth of Petey the Cat's new invention, the Robo-Rat 2000.
