Buyon, also known as The Jiggler, is a minor antagonist in Dragon Ball. He is General White's brutish pet.

He was voiced by Masaharu Satō in Japanese and Christopher Sabat (who also voices Vegeta) in English.

Biography

Buyon was first mentioned by Suno's father who told her that he heard stories about a monster leaving deep inside the tower whose growls are listened every day. Buyon was a secret weapon for General White of the Red Ribbon Army and was living in the fifth floor of Muscle Tower which was only accesible through a trapdor on the 6th and last floor. His origins are unknown, but it is said that he is an alien from a race called Jigglers.

When Goku and Android 8 finally reached the final floor to free the village chief, General White threw them into the 5th floor in order to be eaten by Buyon. Goku tried to fight the monster, but all of his attacks failed as Buyon's unique body could not take damage. Even the Kamehameha failed against him. After many futile efforts, Goku finally realized his weakness and used the cold weather to his advantage in order to freeze Buyon and then destroy him with a kick.

Powers and Abilities

• Antenna Beam : Energy waves fired from the antennae.
• Lick Twister : Buyon extend his tongue to attack his opponent.
• Super Flexible Body : Because of his rubbery body, enemies will bounce back if they try to punch or kick him. Because of this, he is also the first enemy to seem unaffected by Goku's Kamehameha.

Trivia

• Buyon was the first antagonist in Dragon Ball to not be affected by a Kamehameha, and also the first and only opponent that Goku killed during his time on Muscle Tower.
• It's possible that Buyon was an inspiration for Fat Buu, as both have similar names, are both big, pink monsters with similarly plump bodies, like to eat, and can fire beams from their antennas.
