Bytes is a minor antagonist in the Fortnite franchise.
He is a warrior who sacrificed all his values, his knowledge and his own identity and gived himself to darkness in his quest to gain power.
Personality[]
Little is known about his personality before he became the Warrior of The Nothing, we just know that he placed power above all else, despite his fears and doubts, he ultimately sacrificed everything he was to become the powerful and emotionless Warrior of The Nothing. Bytes only listens to The Nothing's orders and is utterly devoted to them, not caring about anything after losing his identity, The Nothing also notes that Bytes is inhabited by "A growing hunger".
Biography[]
Chapter 3: Season 4[]
Bytes was an ordinary human living in Reality Zero, but The Nothing turned their attention to him when their Herald invaded this reality. The Nothing gave Bytes a fraction of his power, turning his hands to chrome and tricking him into contacting him for more power. They then imposed a trial on him, an initiatory journey in which each successful test would grant him more power. The Nothing actually had a hidden plan, making Bytes their "Warrior" in order to drastically increase the forces of The Last Reality, the journey that Bytes undertook had in reality the aim of removing all emotion from him and giving him even more obsession to obtain power in order to make him the ideal warrior. Finally Bytes survived this trial, being the first in centuries to succeed and was raised as the Warrior of The Last Reality. After all of this, The Nothing gave a final message to Bytes, telling him to stay vigilent and that he will be summoned when they need him, Bytes then went into hiding and was not seen again for the time being.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Fighting skills: Bytes was a human fighter proficient with firearms, after receiving the Nothing's Gift giving him the ability to turn his hands into melee weapons, he demonstrated great skill with and passed The Nothing's trials.
- Chrome Control: Although to a lesser extent than The Herald, Bytes is also capable of controlling The Chrome.
- The Nothing's Gift: It's the power bestowed on him by The Nothing, his arms have been turned into Chrome, which he can manipulate at will, at first limited to a single weapon: The Siren's Spear, he received the ability to use new weapons with each successful test as well as the ability to mold both hands completely according to his will at the final one. The weapons he can summon are: The Siren's Spear, The Reaper's Lament, The Dread Claw, The Sharpened Sunburst, The Chaotic Edge, The Razer Thorn, The Skewer and The Thrasher.
- Chrome Immunity: unlike other beings Bytes can't be consumed by Chrome.
- Partially chromed body: Bytes' arms being fully chromed, they can't be damaged or permanently destroyed and are totally immune to fire.

- Bytes is currently the only known character to have talked to The Nothing.
- Bytes is also the only current known currently human to be a member of The Last Reality.
